A few questions about a U2 concert.
1) Where should one try to stand (in the heart) if one has GA tickets?
2) How early must one arrive to get the good spot?
3) Do they allow cameras?

1. Bono spends most of his time at the tip of the heart (opposite of the actual stage
2. People started lining up for the show here in Austin 18 hours ahead of time. And no, that wasn't for tickets... that was to get in the door, they already had tickets.
3. Yes, they allowed cameras... at least here in Austin. I wish I would have known that because I had a good vantage point of the whole show.
there really isn't a bad spot for the show.... though if you can't get to the tip of the heart... try to get along the edge of the heart somewhere... Bono walks around it many many times. But the tip of is is best (edge even comes out and jams with bono at the tip)

people in Austin eat sleep and breathe live music, hence the title "Live Music Capital of the World"... so I wouldn't expect it to be that bad at every show. I think showing up 2 hours early should get you a good spot. But you never know. I would suggest driving by the venue the night before just in case
And enjoy the show no matter where you get a spot at... it's completly amazing!!

I showed up at 9:00 am and was number 140 out of 300 that get let into the heart in Washington DC.
Inside the heart was great because there is a great deal of room and because the band plays all around you people don't try to squeeze on top of each other. I was probably about 2 rows back in front of the Edge.
Amazing show by the way

Just saw them in oakland, I would stay outside the heart.
A colleague just saw them in Sacto last week, and arrived at 8pm, and was able to get onto the right side of the outside of the heart with no problem.
I have seen his photos and he was about 2 people back
being in the heart would be cool, but just at the tip on the outside is the place to be.
However at oakland 2 No doubt were in the heart enjoying the show.
