Picked it up yesterday. Have only played it once, so this is kind of basic.
It's not nearly as good as Devil Without a Cause. Too much southern rock and waaay too much slow stuff. If his hero's used to be Run DMC, they must now be Molly Hatchet.
There are some good tracks, but he's trying to hard for the kind of radio play he got with Only God Knows Why.
No Joe C at all, although he's the deadication. I thouht he had recorded some of this before his death, but I guess not.
Bottom line: It has much countrified/southern rock stuff for rap fans to like it, and too much (any would be too much) rap for southern/classic rock/country fans to like it. I'll be surprised if this sells anywhere near what Devil did.

Now I have bought it, wow, I know what you mean, but I kind of like that country feel in some of the songs like the one w/ Sheryl Crow is pretty good.

I hope that the first single isn't the best song on the album, because it is awful. It's such a retread and so generic. Combine this single with the slow-tempo stuff that's been reported here: I'm won't be buying it.

I like the album, I am freaky though and like a change in music once in awhile.

I'm really digging the country on this cd. The more I listen to this cd the more I like it.
And yes, Long Train Ride to Memphis is a good tune.
