What is a Best Value Savings at Amazon?
I noticed on a few orders at Amazon I received in addition to other discounts a separate discount called a "Best Value Savings". One order it was for $3, while another received only $0.75 off. I received the $3 savings after ordering the Elephant Man DVD and combining it with another order. I also noticed once you received it nothing else can be combined with the order unless the item that causes the discount is cancelled. Is this something new at Amazon?

"Best Value" savings is a special discount (in addition to STL, if any) designed to luke you into buying the specified combo. Months ago I bought Hannibal + SoTL combo and amazon automatically took $5 off as a Best Value discount, in addition to the STL I received on both DVDs
Best Value used to be $5 off when it first came out. Now it's only $1-3
There is a "Best Buy" which offers no discount at all. It seems to be nothing more than a cunny way to con people into buying both DVDs
