Sega Master System memories
Before GC vs. X-Box vs. PS2, before N64 vs. PS1, before Genesis vs. SNES... there was the grandfather of the console wars. The Sega Master System vs. the Nintendo Entertainment System. Sadly, I was one of the poor saps to buy a SMS instead of a NES. I actually wanted a NES initially, but I was watching some guys play an SMS at a store, and my dad was like, "Well, you can get one of these now, or wait and get an NES later." I was a kid, and instant gratification ruled my brain, so I went home with a SMS.
What great gaming moments did you have with your SMS? My favorite memories are After Burner (scoring a lock on the refueling missions was the best feeling!), Shinobi (MAN, some of those bosses were hard), Rampage, the Spy Hunter clone-game (stupid sidecars), and the GREAT shooting game (that worked fine before my light gun gave up the ghost ) I missed out on Space Harrier, though.
Fire bad!
