Gamecube cables included?
Does anyone know what cables the Gamecube comes with for hooking it to the TV. Is it the standard composite RCA jacks, or does it finally support S-Video? Or will I need to buy S-Video cables seperatly (and hope they are available for launch).
I know it supports component input, but I only have 1 component input on my TV and it's used by my DVD player.

As with every system including the N64, PS2 and X-Box, I'm assuming the Gamecube will also come with the standard RCA cables. You'll need to buy the S-Video separately. There is a component RGB cable available......can't remember where though anyone have the link?

Yeah, you have to buy the S-Video seperately, but it will be worth it. Think about it, the demos that you see running are doing so off of either RCA or coax through an RF adapter. With S-Video it will be that much nicer!

It only comes with plain RCA cables
The GC uses the exact same cables as the N64 and a the SNES. So if you have a N64 or SNES S-video cable it will work with the GC.
I bought an N64 S-Video cable from game stop, but had to return it because there is a plastic block that keeps you from being able to peel the cables apart. I have to run the S-video to my Wega and the Audio cables to my receiver, and the cables on this one were only about 3-5" past that block so they wouldn't reach.
I ordered a new S-video cable, that will peel apart, from Nintendo, they also have component cables. Here's a link to the site.

Click on Gamecube at the top, and then Parts and Accessories. It won't let you paste a direct link to that page.

It is rca... but here is a tip... the N64 and the Cube use the same cables so if you find a N64 S-video cable. on clearence or whatever i bet it maybe cheaper... So buy that! Im using a Pelican N64 cable now and it works like a charm. I love Rouge Squad!
