Is the Harte Jungs R2 German DVD 16:9 Enhanced?

I've heard it's kind of like American Pie which I enjoyed so I'd like to buy this disc as well but only if it's anamorphic. Anyone know the answer or if there is a good German site written in English with good technical information?

...you're kidding, yes?... no?... shame on you then for wanting to import this humorless Dreck into the good, pure-hearted ole U S of A...

...so, anyway, yes, it's anamorphic 1.85:1, German language only, optional English captions for the hearing-impaired...

...and, just in case you're wondering what a German POV of this misbegotten mess would be like, here's one...

Thanks for the confirmation that it's 16:9. Unfortunately I know only a little German so I can't read the review.

...perhaps that's just as well... the review tears the movie to shreds...

So would I be able to use the English caption feature with an NTSC TV? Or is there any chance that the description was misworded and is actually English subs?

...sigh... according to this German review site ( http://212.112.179.250/reviews/HarteJungs.html ), the DVD is letterboxed 1.85:1 (i.e. not anamorphic!), it has German (not English!) captions (which appear in the black bar below the image, making them invisible to owners of 16:9 sets who like to 'blow up' the picture so it will fill their screen) ... the sound is DD 5.1 ... or not, depending on whether you buy an early release of this DVD, or a later, 'corrected' one...

...my suggestion: forget this one, get American Pie 2 instead... it's sure to be 'better', more 'hilariously funny', vastly more ROTFLMAO-ish in every respect...
