Review: TREMORS 3: BACK TO PERFECTION
Just got a chance to see this on DVD as a pre-street from the Blockbuster I work at. If you liked the first two films, you should like this one. The humor and cleverness remains in this one. Also, the return of many characters form the original provides some nice surprises. Also, anyone who has read the episode descriptions for the one time proposed TV series will recognize some plot points that were revived for this movie. Also, I have to give credit to a movie like this that actually kills some carry over characters that you of course expect to live as they survived before. Also, the new creature (which explains the entire graboid life cycle) is cool, but a little bit ridiculous.
As far as features, it is pretty much bare bones. It has trailers and a making of featurette, but that is it. The picture and sound is good, however there is one audio problem which I assume is the fault of the filmmakers and not the disc. From Chapter 7-Chapter 9, the sound is out of sync, which I assume was a bad post-production over dubbing job.
On a scale of $10-$26.99 (MSRP), the disc rates in the $17-$18 range. Why Universal wants $26.99 is beyond me, especially with the lack of extras on the disc.
