DeepDiscountDVD shipping question
I ordered a couple of DVDs from DDD and requested Priority shipping. A couple of days later they send me an e-mail saying they were shipping one and not charging me more for the split. Fine. I got an e-mail Monday saying they shipped the 2nd DVD. Today (Saturday) still no DVD. I re-read the e-mail more closely and it said "Your package will arrive in 5-10 business days" (the first one said "You requested Priority Delivery and your package will arrive in 2-3 business days").
So they sent the 1st DVD Priority (as I requested) and apparently the 2nd DVD Media Mail. I would already have BOTH DVDs if they had just waited and sent them together Priority (like I paid for.)
Is this common for them? I've only ordered a few times, and have had excellent service up to now. If an e-tailer is going to change the terms of your order, I think it had better be to your benefit.

I just wanted to make sure it was a goof. It's not going to kill me to wait a few more days for a movie, but if that's their policy, I'll take that into account when ordering. If it's just an isolated incident, it's no big deal.

This is standard according to the shipping info on the site
2-3 business days via USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground(depending on the weight of the package and the zone you live in) $3.95. Priority Mail will apply only to the first shipment of instock items. Subsequent backorder or pre-order shipments will be sent via Standard Delivery.

Thanks for the info strife. I don't mean to knock DDD. I don't expect them to be Amazon. I'd rather they have the prices they have than change their policies. I was just wondering what their policy was.
