NCAA Football 2002 Problem--kind of slow when changing screen!!!

I got the game yesterday. It is awesome!!! Graphics, player motions, and game engine are
even better than Madden 2001. However, it is kind of slow when changing screen or even changing the menu!!! Is this normal? Anyone experiences the same thing?

There are reports of bad burns of the game circulating.
Take the ame back ASAP and exchange it for (hopefully) a good copy.

I exchanged it once, but still have the same problem. It's not very responsive compared to Madden 2001. The machine reads the disc a lot!!! Is this normal???

In the ign.com "sports game" forum there's a HUGE discussion on this...

Mine does this too (my 2nd copy) and "no" it's not normal. I'm hoping EA puts outs some kind of press release that I can print out so the Wal-Mart exchange counter people don't think I'm nuts... I think all the disks at that store are probably bad. I need to find some way to get my money back so I can buy it someplace else.

I exchanged at Circuit City, the original place where I bought my first copy, TWO times. All of the THREE copies were defective. They ran out of it, so I got the refund. Bought a new one at Toy R Us, and it works fine.
