Review wanted: Traffik TV Series 2-disc set
I did a search, but none of the threads really revealed much about the quality of these discs; they were more speculative than anything. So now that somebody must have these discs by now, I was wondering how the video/audio quality was. Supplements?
Thanks...

supplements:
cast bios
interview with producer and screenwriter
text article explaining how traffik became traffic
I just finally watched these this past week and was satisfied with the quality of the discs. It was an improved picture of what I saw on PBS earlier this year, but it is a 12 year old tv miniseries that I don't think any restoration was done on.
I don't think it really needs any. It is a show that was shot with a sense of reality and doesn't really need be exhibited with cinematic perfection. As long as a dvd of a tv show looks better than broadcast, that's usually enough for me.
I'm not a big audiophile or anything, so really do not remember what the sound was like....so I guess I could say there was nothing distracting.
In all seriousness, if you are interested in owning this show, you might as well get it.

If you can play PAL DVDs, and you can set your DVD player to R2, get the UK version.
I've heard the US DVD is dubbed - I have the UK version, it's not dubbed. There are English subtitles too.

Is the US version dubbed? Is it edited?

resurrecting an OLD thread...
we just watched the first episode last night, and it sure looks dubbed to me. (or did none of the dialogue coincide with the mouths moving in the original??) even the scenes in britain seem to not match up. i don't remember any subtitles at all. does this change in subsequent episodes? (or did i somehow get a different version from CH than everyone else seems to be describing?)
having said that, the first episode did a really good job of drawing us in and i'm definitely looking forward to watching the rest of it.
