hey - i am almost done entering my dvds into DVDProfiler, which i've been meaning to do for a year now. I also enter my purchase price too which is the biggest hangup (sorting through old receipts, etc).

Anyway, i am having trouble with the last 8 dvds of my 600+ collection.

1. I purchased A Bug's Life and Pillow Book from REEL.Com on 2-2-2000. I paid full price (GASP!) total $59.88. As i refuse to believe i would have paid full price for anything back then, i think there must've been a BFL (brandsforless) deal going on then. I have found evidence that i turned the shipping charge in to them for credit on this order. Does anyone remember if there was also a $25 off $50 deal or $30/50 deal going on Feb of 2000 that i might've used?

2. I ordered dozens of discs from CDUniverse in March of 2000 during their unlimited use $10 coupon. However, in reviewing the receipts, 8 of the orders weren't given the $10 credit. I have notes from a call to their customer service back on 3/12/00 that 'the credits should show up on your credit card". However, in reviewing my CC records, the credits never showed up.

Anyway, as i forgot all about this until now, should i even bother calling them about this, or will they laugh me off the planet!? Was anyone ever successful in getting credited for this (as i know this happened to many of you).

Thanks a lot for your help -- i hope there are some of you old timers that have been taking your gingko biloba!!

I do remember a magic number of $56 or something we had to hit to get a $20? $25? rebate from BFL and it was around that time frame.

I did not get my $10 credit on many of my CDUniverse orders and tried calling, got a promise, and it never showed up. I wrote them and it off.

thanks randyc - i will say it's $25 then so i can finish this (ok, i guess i am so anal retentive that i can't have my total be a dollar off because i got the discount wrong!).

Well, i certainly haven't bought anything from CDUniverse since that debachle - i hope noone else who lost out on that has followed suit (although they are still in business aren't they?)

I was able to get my $10 from CDU. I had saved my order confirmation page and had to e-mail it to some big-wig at CDU and about a month later I noticed a $10 credit on my account.

I only ordered from CDUniverse once and used a coupon. I was charged the full price not what the email confirmation said. After contacting them (long time by email) I was told this was the way they handled coupons by issuing you credit after they charged you their full price. As I recall it took 1 to 1 1/2 months for the credit to show up.
