Thanks...got a great deal!

Thanks for posting this coupon. I wasn't previously impressed with Overstock's selection or prices, and had not ordered from them before. Even though Overstock's website was rather slow tonite, I got what I think I was a great deal with the coupon on a few items I always wanted, but didn't want to pay much for!

Not bad considering these two DVDs would be $38.98 at deepdiscount.com and even more elsewhere. Plus I got a subscription thrown in to boot. I had been waiting to see Fight Club somewhere cheap (and it's not available via CH) so this did the trick for me.
Thanks

i was going to order TWISTER, but the picture on Overstock's website matches the cover of the OLD OOP version with no special features as shown on dvdpricesearch & amazon. Anyone have any idea if it is the old or new version? The pic on Overstock shows the thx logo on the bottom of the cover. Here it is: http://a102.g.akamai.net/f/102/3117/...ts/L908260.jpg

Anyone needing a low dollar item to push your order over $50, here's a few ideas:

SKU 16196
Lenox 1997 'First Christmas Home' Ornament $4.89

SKU 16569
Tapestry Computer Covers, Denver Broncos $2.85

SKU 903120
Smart and Friendly CD Speed Marker Rainbow Pack $5.77

There's also some software and magazine subscriptions for ~$10 and a few different patterns on the computer covers for $2.85.

On another note, does anyone know how Overstock.com tracks "first timer" status? Is it by email address, credit card number, a combination, or none of the above?

By email address. If you don't use the coupon, you not only lose the current coupon, but all future ones because you are no longer a "new" customer. Even if you never bought anything!

A bad policy and a good way to lose new business. But you can get around it by using a different address.

I agree... I signed up with my main email address a while back and shopped through their site and didn't find anything I was interested in. Now it sees me as a regular customer and I lost out on the coupon. However if I sign up with another Email address, I get it. Uggg...

Why do you think they're on Overstock in the first place???

Because they're closeouts & discontinued merchandise. Check out the cover to X-Men ... it's the older version as well.

Great bargain! Thanks for the post. I ended up getting Stuart Little and Avia sneakers.

Where did you find this bargain?

Sites like Bargain Boardwalk, Bargain Bliss, and Amazing Bargains, all have links to overstock.com coupons, but none come close to being as good as this one.

The X-Men pic they have is of the ONLY X-Men DVD put out. There is not another DVD, except if you consider some of the cartoons, maybe??? Are they even on DVD?? But it's definitely the Fox X-Men Movie DVD they have there.

Sorry, I was using the pic from http://www.dvdpricesearch.com as a reference. I guess there's only one out there, and yes, I even bought X-Men for that $13.49 price (only because C-House doesn't stock Fox, those bastages!).

... plus an Intel WL810 P3 MB for an extra $39.99 so I could get the order over $50. :-)
