For being such a popular show they sure do screw with it a lot don't they?

It's been on a number of differnt nights ( that I can understand )
They started it a month later a few times cause of sports.
They stopped it for a month cause of The Lone Gunmen
And it always seems like the show ends with "In two weeks...."

I'm sure they know we'll watch no matter what but when I turned on last night and say the lineup on FOX I was bummed.
I could of done without that Malcolm In The Middle.

Was on Friday for a few years then shifted to Sunday where its been for like 4 or 5 seasons, pretty stable id you ask me?

As for starting it late, would you rather they showed had the premiere and then didn't show another episode for four weeks while the baseball playoffs went on, I thought not.

The practice of putting new shows into proven time slots for limited amount of time isn't new either, ABC does it all the time. You have a better chance of attracting an audience to a show this way.

They really should move it to a different night again, or not have the new episodes be on when new sopranos episodes are on

To answer the question, X-Files returns the 22nd with 5 episodes in a row leading up to the season finale.

The X-Files and The Sopranos on at the same time on Sunday night is no problem. At 9pm, tape The X-Files and watch The Sopranos during its broadcast. Then at 10pm, watch The X-Files from the tape (added bonus - can scan through the commercials!). And, if you want to have The Sopranos on tape, record it during one of its re-broadcasts later in the week.
