Anybody else getting James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing?
The more and more I see of this game, the more and more I want it. And when I played the demo a couple of months back (was it that long ago?)... wow! This game blew my mind! I'm sure James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing will have no trouble beating (or at least tying) with Goldeneye for best Bond game ever.
What do y'all think?

It looks like a good game, but I'll wait for it to drop in price. To me there's no sense in buying a game right away unless I "have to have it" when they drop in price in 3-6 months usually.
My vice is racing games. When NASCAR Thunder comes out I have to have it, so I don't mind paying $50 for it then.

After reading GameSpot's review I'm probably going to pick this up. I tried to find the XBM issue with the demo and my local store had an issue with the CD missing....and it was the last one
. It sounds like this installment of Bond is the best in the series and possibly even better than Golden Eye....we'll see about that.

I'm going to skip this one and hope for the rumoured Goldeneye remake. I've already got Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes and Splinter Cell coming in March. Sorry Bond-didn't like the demo.

Ever since goldeneye every new 007 game is going to be "better than goldeneye" I just get the feeling they are still cashing in on a 5(?) year old game. In fairness reviews seem pretty good, so I may give it a try. I may rent it and buy it if its cheap, but at not at $50. Then again I don't really buy any games for 50 bucks.

I played a few levels yesterday at the mall - not bad for a 3rd person game, but I can't figure out how to target and shoot people on it. The driving modes were really fun.

I think I'll pick this up. I read some positive reviews, have been seeing the really cool preview they are showing on TV, and think it easily looks like a great Bond game. Wish the prices on it were a little cheapter, though, but I think I'll splurge and grab this later this week.

The price, as with any new game, is what gives me pause. Today my local EB gets them in-stock butnow I'm questioning my decision to buy it. Had it been in-store on monday (or even tuesday) I would have purchased it without question but the extra time to think it over has made me hesitant.

I want to get it. It sounds like a lot of fun. I can't decide, though : better graphics and 5.1 sound on Xbox or 2-player online co-op mode on the PS2. Any thoughts?

I think the view of this game is total crap but I also think they have improved upon a bunch of other things.
My friends and I played the hell out of the last Bond game but since they've all managed to tick me off recently I have no need for multiplayer. I'd much rather play co-op with the wife.
I know when I go out this afternoon this game will temp me. I really have to think about it as something other than a James Bond game because even with the new gadgets and abilities the view will probably bug me for some time.

I'll get it when it hits $10. That's not a judgment on the game--that's just my price point for games these days. I still have a stack of 20-30 unopened (!!!) games to get through.

I bought it as a figured I would. The demo was going at Media Play for it and I played a bit. I sucked pretty bad but that is what I get for not reading the on screen directions. My buddy is also going to buy it and when he comes home from school now and then we are going to play co-op together.
I've heard it has a bit of a learning curve and from playing a bit I think it may take some time to get used to.
I'm sure I like it but it's just weird being able to see more than 007's hands and wrists.

I changed my mind and went ahead and bought it last night. I just played the introductory mission in single-player mode, but it was very fun. I think the targeting could have been tweaked a little more, but it's not that bad once you get the hang of it.
I also hopped online and played co-op on the "Core Descent" mission. That was also a lot of fun, though it would have been better if my partner and I had been using a headset. We were stuck for a good ten minutes because we didn't know where to go nextl. Turns out that we needed to scale a wall, but I couldn't figure out how to rappel up. I finally figured it out and basically had to demonstrate how to do it to my partner about ten times before he got it down.
If anyone wants to add me to their buddy list, my username is "azbats"

If anyone is an IGN Insider, I'd love to know what they said in the head-to-head comparison. That online mode could be fun, but I'd probably only play it once or twice and if there's a pretty noticable graphic difference, I'd go with the xbox version...

Good game with insanely great production values.
I still prefer FPS for my Bond, but if it had to be like this, at least they did it pretty well
Some of the Bond Style things are buggy but it's still cool.

I'll probably pick this up when it hits the magical $15. I haven't picked up the last two because for whatever reason I can't really get into FPS this gen except for the occasional Halo, Metroid and of course PC FPS.

Features:
1. PlayStation 2 (online cooperative play; minor advantage)
2. GameCube/Xbox (negligible differences; tie)
Control:
1. PlayStation 2/Xbox (negligible differences; tie)
2. GameCube (a few quick-access functions gone; minor disadvantage)
Sound:
1. Xbox (in-game Dolby Digital, clarity: medium advantage))
2. GameCube/PlayStation 2 (Dolby Pro Logic II, decent overall; tie)
Graphics:
Out of all of them, we'd definitely recommend the Xbox version for visuals. It's a clear win (pun intended). After that, GameCube or PlayStation 2 still look visually stunning, but you're going to see more framerate problems on PS2 and you'll see some inconsistencies on GCN, such as lacking reflections on vehicles.
All three versions support widescreen, are THX certified, but only GameCube and Xbox support progressive scan 480p modes.
1. Xbox (more vivid, sharper, better lighting; medium advantage)
2. GameCube/PlayStation 2 (solid in their own right, but more framerate issues and texture inconsistencies; tie)
Presentations:
1. GameCube/Xbox (GCN has the load speed, but Xbox has decent loads and quality FMV; tie)
2. PlayStation 2 (slower load times; minor disadvantage)
Overall Winner: Xbox
1. Xbox (all the trimmings, better visuals and sound; minor advantage over PlayStation 2)
2. PlayStation 2 (some framerate issues, but still pretty and supports online cooperation; minor advantage over GameCube)
3. GameCube (load times and GBA link support, but compressed FMV, controls, and no online; minor disadvantages)

Thanks Gromit.
For some EA games (Madden, TW 2004, ?NFL Street), the online play easily outweighs any slight graphic edges the Xbox might possess. This doesn't sound like one of those.
BTW: If EA ever pulled their heads out of their respective a$$e$ and became Live-enabled, those Head-to-Head comparisons would be totally unessisary. Thanks again.

So far I'm pretty happy with this game.
If it wasn't a Bond game I think I would like the style more because as I said before to me Bond=FPS.
The ability to rappel was a good idea but it just seems to of replaced ladders and stairs. The mine shaft level was cool but it seemed to be there just to show off and make good use of this feature.
The co-op and multi-player levels are crap IMHO. My buddy who was going to also get this came over last night and we tried it out. The arena mode is a waste of disc space. How could they go from amazing multi-player in the last few Bond games to this?
The new view does make me feel far more agile and more like I'm a part of the game. The targeting system is ok but it needs tweaking. I'll be wall hugging to peek around the corner and someone will suddenly be right in from of me. It seems I have to hit the back button or walk away from the wall before I can target and shoot the guy attacking me.
The new gadgets are pretty cool and are certainly one of the better things in the game. At first I didn't really use them that much but now I am trying to use them more often.
In the end it's a pretty good game but I'm glad I had a 10.00 gift certificate to use on it. If anyone is on the fence about this game I suggest waiting or renting. The Bond series used to be my favorite series for multi-player action but now I'll have to look elsewhere to get my fix.

I'm sick of driving missions. The Bond games always had great driving missions but there were 2-3 per game and that was a good amount.
This game has a bit too much driving for my tastes. The shooting portion of the game is really growing on me. I think I'd be really happy if the next Bond game was done like Metal Gear Solid. I do like being able to see around Bond but he still acts way too rigid and doesn't maneuver the way I fell he should/could. He should be able to sneak, crawl, jump and hang. This new direction for the Bond series could work but it still needs tweaks.

Bond=FPS.
playing bond as an FPS I never really
felt like I was controlling bond
it felt just like any other generic FPS char
and of course stealth is totally out the window so you're pretty much left with a
run and gun game, and that's not what bond's really about, I mean he's got some "rambo" moments but bond's all about the stealth and stylized ways he dispatches his enemy
which move to the 3rd person perspec
and the fact that you're actually seeing bond's face makes associating with the char much easier, EON is the first game
in which I felt like I was immersed in the role of bond
EA could have easily made this a run and gun game but the fact the pacing and above average AI made this an exceptional title
I never played Dead to Rights but have seen it in action many times, it seems like EON employs the same type of hand to hand combat engine, and it's just awesome! sorry but the melee combat in MGS and SC don't come close
now that I think about it, SC:PT is probably not going to be as satisfying as EON in terms of fun
