Bernie Mac Finale - What happened at the end?
I only have an antenna reception so Fox is pretty grainy. Obviously something important was revealed while Bernie was reading some birth certificate but I couldn't make out the details on the document or the yellow commentary text. What did he find out?? Thanks

His "Uncle" was really his father.
I love this show - absolutely love it. It is easily the best new comedy of the season, and FOX seems very willing to support it. And I've loved some of the emotional situations they've tackled, especially when 'Nessa gets her own room. But I thought the finale was a little forced. The first half with Don Cheadle was hilarious, and it was very touching when 'Nessa's mother wasn't at the hosipital, and they cut to Bernie's "Listen Up, America" chair and he couldn't think of anything to say. But once they cut to the "part II" segment, everything felt forced and overly dramatic. Bernie's a talented performer, but he's not that good, and the scene with him and 'Nessa crying in the car fell flat for me.
Anyway, I don't want to begrudge the episode, because they tried for something better than the typical trash on TV, and even if it didn't all come together, at least the effort was there. This is definitely one of the few comedies I'm looking forward to next season. It's a throwback to shows like The Cosby Show that balance comedy and heart without hamming it up like one of the TGIF shows.
