Top 10 Shows for 2015

Here's my Top 10 list. Post yours.

1. My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO!
2. Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?
3. Gate
4. Himouto! Umaru-chan
5. Non Non Biyori Repeat
6. Noragami Aragoto
7. The Rolling Girls
8. Snow White with the Red Hair
9. School-Live!
10. YuruYuri San Hai!

Overall, I thought it was a rather weak year. I usually have trouble narrowing down my list to 10 shows. There's always a big list of runners-up. But this year, I wasn't too impressed by anything outside these 10 shows.

Here's the past year's threads:

Re: Top 10 Shows for 2015

I greatly enjoyed Noragami Aragato. I haven't thought deeply enough about this topic to make a top ten list, it would be so much easier if I knew what came out in 2015. I watch enough anime after its initial release that dates tend to blur together. Like I don't know if D-Frag came out this year or last year. Checking your 2014 list, I didn't realize half of those came out last year.

Overlord would definitely go in my top five somewhere near the top.

Re: Top 10 Shows for 2015

Let's see...

1. Baby Steps Season 2
2. Beautiful Bones
3. God Eater
4. Haikyu!! Season 2
5. The Perfect Insider
6. Ace of the Diamond Season 2 (?)
7. YuruYuri San Hai!

Look like that's all I watched this year. Through I watched more shows, but lost interested in them.

Here's a list of anime shows for 2015. I don't know if it's complete. And a few of the shows listed only had OVA releases (like Attack on Titan).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catego...evision_series

Some of those titles on my list were two-season shows that started in 2014 and finished in 2015. Your Lie In April and Fate/stay Night UBW. I didn't bother listing them again, since I put them on my 2014 list. Your Lie In April definitely would have been in my Top 3.

If one has any interest in tennis whatsoever, Baby Steps is essential viewing. It would be in my top ten.

Unfortunately, there won't be any season 3 for Baby Steps. However, manga is already far away from end of second season.

The most memorable show from 2015 has to be Prison School. It has some of the funniest episodes in years.

Re: Top 10 Shows for 2015

I have only watched 11 so far, and Shimoneta would be the odd man out. The other 10 in alphabetical order:

- Charlotte
- Classroom Crisis
- DURARARA!! x2
- The Eden of Grisaia
- I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying S2
- Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?
- Knights of Sidonia S2
- Overlord
- Plastic Memories
- The Perfect Insider (Everything Becomes F)

The Perfect Insider easily tops my 2015 list. There's no clear #2 as I don't feel strongly one way or the other about the rest. DURARARA!! x2 is still very much incomplete, and won't finish up until 2016.

Shimoneta would probably crack my top ten, though that may be because I recently watched it.

Re: Top 10 Shows for 2015

I thought Charlotte is good anime at beginning, but I lost interested episode 10. It's too similar with Heroes (original one). Heck, I haven't even seen last episode.

Considering the amount of stuff they crammed into the final episode, I kind of wish they would have ended it one episode earlier and handled the final arc with a movie, OVA(s), or even a second season. (Of course, there would have been no guarantees on any of those, although it appears it's popular enough in hindsight.)

Re: Top 10 Shows for 2015

Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign has some great action once you get past the generic opening episodes. It could have been an all-time great series with slightly better emotional character development but if you are into serious action anime, it's not bad. I'd probably put it near the bottom of my top ten.

Re: Top 10 Shows for 2015

Ohh, I forgot about Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches. Unlimited Blade Works was a good series but I felt it was a let down coming off Fate / Zero. I guess my expectations and how they dragged out its ending knocked it down my list a bit.

Re: Top 10 Shows for 2015

Instead of picking my favorite anime I will just list the animes I watched in 2015. I'm not going to buy all of them when they get released on dvd/blu-ray, most likely just the top seven on the list. I thought it was a boring year for most of 2015
  • The Asterisk War
  • Chivalry of a Failed Knight
  • Absolute Duo
  • High School DxD BorN
  • World Break: Aria of Curse for a Holy Swordsman
  • The Testament of Sister New Devil
  • The Testament of Sister New Devil: BURST
  • Charlotte
  • Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend
  • The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls
  • Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?
  • The Eden of Grisaia
  • The Labyrinth of Grisaia
  • Castle Town Dandelion
  • My Wife is the Student Council President

I am waiting for the blu-ray of To Love-Ru Darkness 2nd before i watch it.
