1. Attack on Titan
2. The Devil is a Part Timer!
3. Stella Women’s Academy, High School Division Class C³
4. Oreimo
5. Love Lab
6. Railgun

Seems like I don't watch much 2013 shows. However, some of 2013 shows I have seen does not deserved to be in my top 10.

Railgun season 2 is just okay, but I like first season better.

It ended on a weak arc. The only bright spot was Febri. She's one of the most adorable anime characters ever. And the final episode was fun with everyone making an appearance and all the OST music. But overall, the Silent Party arc was lame.

The Sisters arc is the best storyline from the Railgun/Index series. So for that alone, I ranked it high on my list.

Hyperdimension Neptunia

The Devil is a Part Timer!
Wanna be the Strongest in the World
Walkure Romanze

Other then Hyperdimension Neptunia I wasn't overly impressed with any of this years animes. I only listed the animes I watched this year. I still need to watch Senran Kagura maybe I will wait for the Blu-ray I waited this long.

Crunchyroll staff posted their 2013 favorites lists. Looks like Attack On Titan and Kill La Kill was on almost everyone's list. Guess I'll have to check out KLK.

Yeah, I noticed Kill la Kill is one of top most watched and I was thinking of watch it after I'm done with Goglo season 2 (on Hulu). Not sure if I should check out Flowers of Evil but I'll put it on my list.

One of them mentioned new Berserk series, but it's not on Crunchyroll. Is it out or not yet?

I just finished Silver Spoon, it's good series, I would put #3 on my list.

I might include Good Luck Girl at some point, I haven't finished the entire series yet.

Re: Top 10 Shows for 2013

I only watched ten 2013 series, so I'll list them all (in order of preference), while not being at all pleased with a couple of them.

1. Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet
2. I Couldn't Become a Hero...
3. Arpeggio of Blue Steel
4. Log Horizon
5. Silver Spoon
6. Attack on Titan
7. Devil Survivor 2
8. The World God Only Knows (this season really suffered from Elsie's minimal involvement)
9. AKB0048 (no thanks to the ridiculous Center Nova stuff)
10. Sunday Without God (huge disappointment after a strong start)

That got me curious, so I checked it out. It was a great show. I don't know why I missed it when it originally aired.

I think I'll go back and finish Wagnaria!! (Working!!). It's by the same mangaka. I only watched 1-2 episodes and didn't get into it. But I really enjoyed SxS, so I'll give it another chance.

I'm only about 4 episodes into GLG, but it's really good so far. It's a surprise, because I was expecting a shounen series like Bleach. I love the ED song. That might be the catchiest anime song I've ever heard.

Fandom Post picked Kyousougiga for "Show Of The Year" in their Year In Anime Awards 2013. It's a shame this show hasn't gotten the attention it deserves.

Show of the Year: Kyousogiga

The strongest overall support, ranking highly on the majority of lists from the entire staff, went to Kyousogiga. What made it so special? Thomas Zoth noted that it is “a show that is easier to watch than to describe. The story of a family torn apart that ties in Japanese art history, religions, metaphysics, Alice in Wonderland, humanity’s quest for knowledge and belonging and giant robots. Incredibly dense visually and thematically, it somehow manages to just keep from falling into chaos on the strength of its direction and characterization.” Most other staff members also noted the power of its visuals in their comments on the show, though it can be a difficult show to talk about, which is also reflected in our internal discussion.

Wagnaria has somewhat similar humor, but the cast is a lot more likable in Servant X Service. Servant is the better show, but Wagnaria is enjoyable fluff.

The first couple of episodes are absolutely magical, a very innovative concept. I actually thought they should have expanded the plot of the first episode into a full-length movie, their grown children weren't as interesting to me.

Kotaku just posted a great write-up on Kyousougiga praising it's setting, storyline and art style. And also complaining about some complicated plot twists.

A full-length movie would have been interesting. I'm absolutely mesmerized by the first episode. It's possibly my single favorite episode of any anime series.

If you can find them, check out the original ONA shorts. There's some great footage that never made it into the series. And some series footage presented in different order.
