I'm 4 episodes into Season 3 Part 2, aka episode 53... as I'm watching via FUNimation's Simuldub, but damn this second half of the season has been on fire from the start. Excellent. I'm just a bit sad there's only 6 more episodes to go and no telling when season 4 will actually happen.

Attack on Titan: The Final Season planned for fall 2020. It will be interesting to see who will be animating this now.

Season 3 had my favorite TV fight of all time (The Scouts vs Rod Reiss), possibly my favorite TV scene of all time (Armin and Eren vs Colossal Titan), and probably my favorite line of all time (If we cross the ocean and kill our enemies, then will we be free?)

Attack on Titan The Final Season PV. MAPPA is the new animation studio. Fall premiere is no longer mentioned on the Japan website (https://shingeki.tv/final), so it's likely delayed.

Manga is not finished. Maybe they could do a split-cour route again? Winter 2020 & Summer 2021? Spring 2021 & Fall 2021? Not sure.

I believe that they announced before that this upcoming season will be the final one for the anime series.

Now the change of Animation Studio concerns me a little bit as I noticed a slight difference in animation in the trailer. Too early to tell whether I'm going to like it or not.

It'll take roughly 3 cours (36-39 episodes) to adapt the manga that is out currently, much less the manga when it finally ends, if they were to do so with a fairly decent pace instead of just outright rushing it.

There were talks a year ago that Wit wasn't returning... we just didn't know who was going to take over. I'm actually happy it's MAPPA. Could've been a terrible studio like Deen.

The manga goes off in a completely different direction (I don't know what the anime is up to since I'm behind) so I hope they stop at a good point and don't just make up an anime-only ending.

I'm also hesitant to watch Season 3 since I already have my own idea of how the new characters sound. Hearing the the voice for that first character seen in the trailer seemed all off to me and I had to turn the volume down.

Blu-ray & DVD were solicited in Japan (https://shingeki.tv/final/product) in 2 volumes. 16 episodes from volume 1 (eps 60 - 67) and volume 2 (eps 68 - 75). This may may equate to more episodes later in 2021 (maybe as soon as summer?).

Only 16 episodes listed currently suggests that "final" isn't exactly final. Expect a "part 2" or something later as they'll only cover about 40% of what's left to adapt with 16 episodes.

After the broadcast of the final episode of Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 on Japanese TV, the official Twitter account for the franchise announced that the TV anime will continue with Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3, which is titled Attack on Titan The Final Season Final Arc in Japan. A teaser trailer and visual has been released for the continuing conclusion to the adaptation of Hajime Isayama's manga.

NHK announced on Tuesday that the Attack on Titan The Final Season Kanketsu-hen (Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3) anime will air in two parts. The first part will air on March 3 at 24:25 (effectively March 4 at 12:25 a.m.), and the second part will air later in 2023. NHK has not confirmed the length of each part, but it lists the March 3 airing as a "special broadcast," which hints that each part might be an anime special instead of multiple episodes.
