The Promised Neverland has been riveting so far. I'm only watching via Cartoon Network but every plot twist has been handled with a sophistication you rarely see in anime. Don't look for spoilers if you want to be entertained.

Even if the story wasn't fantastic, the art direction and visuals in The Ancient Magus Bride are phenomenal. A girl becomes the apprentice and possible bride to a master mage after he buys her at auction. This is one for fantasy lovers, but it weaves in several different genres through the developing plot. Incredible world-building for an anime series.

I don't think I'll buy Kampfer again just for a dub. I already have the DVD set and initial BD set.
I'm plowing through the beginning of Overlord III at the moment. Even as a big fan of the series, I'm a little lost with a couple of the characters. The first episodes of season three have begun a little slowly.

I enjoyed the first short film the most of the three included in the anthology. Felt like classic Studio Ghibli to me. The middle short film didn't do as much for me. Modest Heroes is on the short side because a fourth short was planned that got canceled when the director passed away.

Earlier today I just started watching Neon Evangelion on Netflix. Watched the first 5 episodes. Hope I can finish all of the other episodes before July 4th

I'm 7 episodes into a first time watching of Neon Genesis Evangelion and I'm not really feeling it. It's not bad it's just giving me nothing to attach to. The lead character is a dud and the plotline isn't keeping my attention.

I am about to leave for the cinema to see Sound! Euphonium: The Movie – Our Promise: A Brand New Day. Does anyone else goes to the cinemas to see these special event movies? I bought my ticket the day the movie was announced that it was coming to the Cinemas.

I know its not anime but I just watched the new movie of Alita Battle Angel I really liked it, one of the better live action movies I have seen in a few years. I think the little changes in the story was better then the anime film, I never read the manga.

I'm really falling behind on things, but I did manage to marathon The Promised Neverland while my wife and kid were out of town, and I enjoyed it for the most part. Phil might be the most woke 4-year-old ever, though.

This season I'm watching:
Really enjoying Fire Force the most though. The creator of Fire Force was also the one who created Soul Eater, so a lot of similar vibes and designs.
J.C. Staff really stepped up their game with animating Accelerator after royally screwing up the adaptation of Index Season 3. This season has been leagues better all around in my opinion. Which is a good thing because DanMachi 2 is also animated by J.C. Staff.
Dr. Stone started out pretty good, but it's beginning to get a bit wacky for a show that tried to act like it was grounded in science to start with.
Demon Lord, Retry! and Isekai Cheat Magician are your typical generic isekai, but I don't mind.
Cop Craft started out strong but has devolved into still-frames galore for most of the action scenes which is a major letdown, while the story seems to be headed toward disappointment.
Arifureta has been mostly good so far as an anime-only watcher, but there was a lot of stuff skipped over that required being filled in from light novel readers which I consider it a failure on the anime as it shouldn't require this... and those that have read the source material are extremely unhappy with the adaptation, calling it one of the worst ever.
- A Certain Scientific Accelerator
- Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest
- Cop Craft
- DanMachi 2
- Demon Lord, Retry!
- Dr. Stone
- Fire Force
- Isekai Cheat Magician
- Vinland Saga

This season I'm watching:
Fruits Basket - This has been my favorite show of the year. They've done a great job with the remake.
DanMachi 2 - I loved Season 1 and I'm glad it's back.
Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks? - This is a fun show. An interesting twist on the OP MC Isekai genre.
If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord - Cuteness overload
A Certain Scientific Accelerator - A big improvement over the last season of Index.
Are You Lost? - It's an interesting show. And each episode is only 12 minutes.
Granbelm - I'm not sure why I'm watching this. It's nothing special. But for some reason, I end up watching it every week.
I plan on watching Fire Force, Dr Stone, The Demon Girl Next Door and Demon Lord Retry.
I wish Teasing Master Takagi-san: Season 2 was streaming. Unfortunately, it was picked up by Netflix. So it won't be available for a while.

Penguin Highway is pretty decent entertainment - I imagine liking it a lot if I had seen it in grade school. Animation is a little slipshod, this is not Studio Ghibli fare.

Re: What anime have you watched or/are currently watching?
I recently let my niece watch "your name" with its boob comments, my sister who did not watch it with her brought up the part to me before I left. I think my sister would ask me to stop bringing anime movies if I brought another one so soon.
