Thermae Romae Novae has been streaming on Netflix https://www.netflix.com/title/81264354 since March 28. IMO, an overlooked series (11 episodes). Time travelling man from ancient Rome + bathhouse comedy is a great combination.

I'm going through The God of High School currently. Korean anime about high school students entering a brawling contest to determine the toughest fighter in the country. The vibe is vaguely like Food Wars. Besides the Korean names, the big difference is how each human character gets animated. Normal character designs, but all noses and ears have a little color applied which just doesn't look right to my eyes. I think it's intended to signify each character is Korean but the aesthetic doesn't really work.

I enjoyed Cop Craft, a show from 2019. A gate opens which brings aliens (more fantasy than sci-fi types) and humans together in a new city. But it's really a gritty procedural crime thriller with a gruff human detective teaming up with a younger female warrior from the other dimension hunting down criminals. Noticeable Western influence and an excellent blend of magic weaponry with regular guns and swords.
Not sure if a second season will ever come.

If you love movies, Pompo the Cinephile is great fun. A young female movie producer shepherds a green director into making a masterpiece. Based on a manga, GKIDS recently put out the theatrical film on BD. Sly spoof of Hollywood filmmaking with a couple of fantastic characters.

I found Bofuri: i don't want to Get Hurt, so i'll Max Out my Defense's first season highly enjoyable. Absolutely fantastic animation, which explodes in color on a good OLED. Kind of similar to That Time I got reincarnated as a Slime in tone and approach while mimicking the game aspects of Sword Art Online, it follows a school girl who doesn't really know how to play MMORPGs and builds her character up into an unstoppable juggernaut by accident.
Light subject matter, humorous and some awesome battle sequences (some of the most dazzling I've seen in anime) make it an accessible and charming Sword Art Online knock-off.

Bofuri's a blast. I love how her character just keeps getting crazier and crazier. I'm looking forward to the second season.

Crunchyroll just added "Sing a Bit of Harmony" dubbed, i have been wanting to watch it.
Edit: I really didn't know much what it was about before but I thought the movie was awesome. I should say I knew nothing what the movie was about, this is all I knew

Watching Sailor Moon for the first time, which feels awkward saying publicly as a 47 year old man, but it is what it is.

Glad to see another season coming, Retsuko is showing confidence in herself finally and I'd like to see more of that.
Does anyone know how to watch the original shorts?

Binged the first season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Been a long ass time since they've showed some proper anime that was brutally violent and faithful to the source.

I'm currently rewatching Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle. This show was hilarious. If you're looking for something lighthearted and goofy, check it out.

I finished up the first season of "Our Last Crusade or The Rise of a New World". Beautifully animated by Silver Link but the show isn't really anything special. A legendary swordsman (who looks suspiciously similar to Kirito of SAO fame) squares off with the magic princess of a rival kingdom. They slowly fall for each other, though the relationship moves at an absolutely glacial pace even by anime standards. I was more interested the first few episodes. Secondary characters aren't developed particularly well and the recurring sub-plots are all kind of stupid.
I regret making a blind buy on the Limited Edition Blu-ray set.

So I watched The Dungeon of Black Company. A very clever satire of Japanese work culture and capitalism wrapped within a fantasy isekai package. On the surface it's an action comedy about a wealthy Neet who gets teleported to a planet where he ends up a lowly corporate grunt for a mining company which rules this fantasy world.
Fun characters and some of the better laughs I've had of late from anime. I would have called it perfect but the last few episodes pack in way too much plot development, it's pretty clear Silver Link wanted to finish off the story if it didn't come back for a second season.
