I just finished the series and I have one question.

In early series, they said that Saya’s blood is toxic to Diva and Diva’s blood is toxic to Saya. And at end when they faced off, they both stabbed each other with their blood stained swords and Diva turned out getting “Thorn,” not Saya. There’s no explanation why. Or did I miss something?

It seems like forever since I watched this series. If I remember correctly, the reason that Diva died and Saya didn't was due to Diva's pregnancy. And due to that her blood/power was no longer potent. Is that what you were asking?

I guess. Is it that what they explained in the series?

I'm not too certain. I thought I remember hearing this from the series. Then again I might have gotten it from elsewhere.

I started watching this on crackle and I have to say that I'm really disappointed in how they've changed the character and story from the original anime film. The show isn't bad. But having knowledge of how Badass Saya was in the original hurts my enjoyment of this. I guess I have divorce myself of the original if I'm going to give this series a chance.

I didn't think it was a very good series. I can forgive the character changes if the show was good. But I gave up after like a dozen episodes.

Well, I thought the series is just average. I watched the series first and then original movie – I was bit confused (even the movie don’t have closed caption or SHD or subtitle – well, the subtitle only shown when someone speaking in Japanese). I thought the original movie is just too short and ends too quickly. They could have stretch the story a bit more.
