I consider them to be around. Or as some people call them neo-ADV. The technical break is as follows (pulled from Wiki).

The following companies all acquired assets from A.D. Vision (this started 9/1/09):

• Sentai Filmworks is the licensor company for acquiring Japanese anime into the North American market.
• AEsir Holdings has licensed rights to most of ADV Films' former library of titles (some titles are licensed directly by Sentai Filmworks).
• Seraphim Studios acquired Amusement Park Media, ADV's production studio, and it was renamed Seraphim Digital Studios.
• Valkyrie Media Partners acquired the Anime Network. The network continues to operate as before the sale.
• Section23 Films is a distributor and marketing company of Switchblade Pictures, Sentai Filmworks, and AEsir Holdings.

I have seen this @ local stores for quite a while now. I guess it could be region specific.

Damn, I'm a huge fan of the two Golgo 13 movies, but I've never even heard of this series. Either my anime radar is breaking down or nobody's publicizing this stuff anymore. And I've never seen it in any stores.

P.S. I just checked it on ANN. Osamu Dezaki's not involved, so that can't be good. And it's a TV series, so it can't possibly have the high levels of sex and violence that made Dezaki's versions so memorable. Has anyone seen this series and can report on it?
