Crunchyroll Adds Season One of "Samurai Girls" Anime to Catalog

Crunchyroll’s growing back catalog of anime gets a big +1 today in the form of Samurai Girls.

If you are already watching Samurai Bride (Season 2), now is the perfect time to catch up on season 1. This will be available in the US and Canada. Premium members will have access to all episodes while free users can enjoy 4 episodes/week.

First question to ask yourself is if you have PS3 or Xbox 360. If you don't have either, it rules out Neon Alley completely.

If you have either PS3 or Xbox 360, the next question to ask is if you prefer to watch anime subtitled or dubbed. Neon Alley's anime content is all dubbed.

If you prefer to watch anime subtitled, Crunchyroll is the choice. The service is available on PS3, Xbox 360, Roku, various mobile devices, and also online. Their overall anime catalog is much larger than Neon Alley.

Another benefit of Crunchyroll over Neon Alley is when you can watch the content. You can watch Crunchyroll any time you want (provided that it's not something that will be expiring). Neon Alley on the other hand, you can only watch when they air the series/episode (like a TV channel).

Crunchyroll Adds "DD Fist of the North Star" to Anime Lineup

Kenshiro of Fist of the North Star is doubling up Crunchyroll duties with his starring role in the super-deformed anime spin-off DD Fist of the North Star. The series starts streaming today at 5pm Pacific.

Episodes 1 and 2 kick the festivities off this week, with three episodes to be added each following week at 12pm Pacific. The series will be available to premium users in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand. Free users will also be able to access the series in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and South Africa.
