Nelvana Inks Multi-Year U.S. Home Entertainment Library Deal
Cinedigm takes US DVD and transactional digital rights to 3,000 Nelvana episodes
TORONTO, CANADA - September 11, 2018 - Corus Entertainment's Nelvana has inked a significant multi-year home entertainment deal with Cinedigm for multiple titles from its world-famous children's content library including classic series like Babar, Babar and the Adventures of Badou and Bakugan Battle Brawlers.
Los Angeles-based Cinedigm (NASDAQ: CIDM) has taken DVD and transactional digital rights for more than 3,000 episodes and will be kicking off the deal with Nelvana's hit preschool series Ranger Rob, which focuses on the adventures of the Big Sky Park ranger and his gregarious group of friends. Additionally, Cinedigm will be releasing DVDs of The ZhuZhus, the Disney Channel series based on the US$2-billion toy brand.
"These extensive home entertainment deals with first-in-class partner Cinedigm, broadens Nelvana's North American footprint, enabling U.S. fans to access our iconic library of children's content wherever and whenever they want," said Pam Westman, Head, Nelvana Enterprises.
Nelvana's laugh-out-loud series 6Teen, and CGI interactive series Little Charmers are also included in the deal. Cinedigm will release Babar and Father Christmas, Babar: King of the Elephants, Babar: The Movie, Franklin and the Turtle Lake Treasure and Pippi Longstocking for digital purchase in November.
"The Nelvana catalog includes both exciting newer properties as well as beloved series which have entertained and engaged multiple generations over the years," said Yolanda Macias, Executive Vice-President of Acquisitions. "Through our broad digital and physical reach in the U.S., we are thrilled to expand Nelvana's distribution of these well-known programs and help bring them to both long-time fans and new audiences alike."
Cinedigm has also renewed streaming rights for six Nelvana series, including Babar and Maggie and the Ferocious Beast, for its Dove and ConTV streaming networks.

This project is to create an English Dubbed HD production of season 1 of the Emma A Victorian Romance anime and release it on Blu-ray!

One of our goals with this project is to stay true to the series nature and to hire actors who can create the authentic sounding accents for their characters.
As our partner on this project, we have chosen to work with Joe DiGiorgi at Headline Studios as our director, who we have worked closely with as a director and a producer on a number of our titles, including ARIA, His and Her Circumstances, Comic Party, Boogiepop Phantom, The Third, amongst others. Joe has also handled many well known dubs from classic titles such as Record of Lodoss War, Genshiken, Queen's Blade, and Ikki Tousen. Headline Sound is based in New York City.

Holdback on Mainstream Release
This is a Kickstarter Special Edition of the series. Once we have fulfilled all of the rewards, we will have a six month (or longer) holdback waiting period before we will release a regular retail edition to the public.
We will allow anyone who has pledged at least $1 to the Kickstarter campaign to buy select items during a slacker backer period through our website, essentially as after-funding for those with interest, but that will be cut off as production is completed.

SANTA MONICA, CA (September 19, 2018) - Aniplex of America will be premiering the anime film, I want to eat your pancreas, at the ANIMATION IS FILM (AIF) festival in Los Angeles, California on October 21st. The second annual animation festival is a collaboration between the Annency International Animation Film Festival, GKIDS, and Variety, and will feature the film in what the festival describes as a "highly selective, annual showcase of the best new works of animation from around the world." The heartwarming film, based on Yoru Sumino's award winning novel, premiered in Japan earlier this month and opened at #10 in the box office, with over 100 million yen grossed in its first two days in theaters. Soon after the film premiered, Japan's largest cinema community site, Pia Eiga Seikatsu, gave the film a 92.6% approval rating, ranking it at number one in their opening day movie satisfaction charts.
