HOUSTON, TX - May 18, 2019 - Sentai Filmworks announced today that it has acquired the rights to Utano☆Princesama Maji LOVE Kingdom, the first feature film for the wildly popularUtano☆Princesama franchise. The film will have its US premiere on Friday, July 5 at 1:00 p.m. at Anime Expo 2019, with a limited theatrical release to follow.

Based on the popular game released in June 2010, Utano☆Princesama has been adapted into a four-season anime that aired from 2011 to 2016. The featured pop idols have shared their feelings with countless fans, fostering both love and dreams - and now, in 2019, they finally take the stage!

Acclaimed seiyuus Takuma Terashima and Mamoru Miyano will attend both the Anime Expo screening and an exclusive Q&A session after the premiere, where they will answer fans' burning questions about their roles in the Utano☆Princesama franchise. Takuma Terashima has lent his vocal talent to roles in Tsurune, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, SERVAMP, Genesis of Aquarion and many more. Mamoru Miyano is known for his work in Chihayafuru, AJIN, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and DEATH NOTE; he received the "Best Voice Actor" award from the Tokyo International Anime Fair in 2008 and the Best Lead Actor Award at the 2008 Seiyuu Awards.

Utano☆Princesama franchise encompasses a vast array of creative works, from four seasons of anime to a series of visual novel and otome games as well as mobile game spinoffs. NEW YORK (May 23, 2019) – GKIDS, the acclaimed producer and distributor of animation for adult and family audiences, announced it has acquired North American distribution rights for the animated feature WEATHERING WITH YOU, the new film from director Makoto Shinkai and producer Genki Kawamura, whose previous film Your Name set box office records in Japan and around the world ($360 million worldwide box office), and is currently receiving a major studio live-action remake from JJ Abrams.

GKIDS has set an awards qualifying run for 2019 with a theatrical release in early 2020 in both the original Japanese and a new English language version.

The all-rights deal finalized out of this year's Cannes Film Festival was negotiated by GKIDS' CEO Eric Beckman and Akihiro Takeda for Toho. The film opens in Japanese cinemas on July 19. Rights are sold worldwide by Toho.

CANNES - Gkids, the U.S. distributor of 11 best animated feature Oscar nominees, has acquired North American rights for "Weathering With You," the new film from director Makoto Shinkai and producer Genki Kawamura.

Gkids has set an awards-qualifying run for 2019 with a theatrical release in early 2020, in both the original Japanese and a new English-language version.

Shinkai and Kawamura's previous film, "Your Name," set box-office records in Japan and around the world, grossing $358 million worldwide, becoming the third highest-grossing non-English language and non-Chinese movie of all time. It's currently getting a major studio live-action remake from J.J. Abrams.

"Weathering With You" follows Hokoda, a high-school freshman who runs away from his remote island home to Tokyo, where he soon finds himself pushed to his financial and personal limits. The unusually gloomy and rainy weather feels like a dark omen for his future. He lives his days in isolation until finding work as a writer for a mysterious occult magazine. One day, Hokoda meets a girl called Hina on a busy street corner. Bright and strong-willed, she possesses a strange and wonderful ability to stop the rain and clear the sky.

The film is the highly anticipated follow-up to Shinkai and Kawamura's previous, record-breaking collaboration.

HOUSTON, TX - June 7, 2019 - Sentai Filmworks today announced a planned sneak preview of the highly anticipated second season of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? as part of an exclusive event at Anime Expo 2019. The first episode of the new series is set to premiere July 5, 11:30 AM in Main Events Hall B. This special event is a prelude to Sentai Filmworks' wider rollout of the series on select digital outlets later the same month.

The exciting follow-up to the first season of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? is produced by J.C. Staff (Food Wars!, Familiar of Zero, Waiting in the Summer) and is based upon the light novel series created by Fujino Omori. Season 2 follows Bell and Hestia on a new adventure, beginning with events covered in the sixth light novel volume.

"When we launched the original series, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, to anime fans in 2015, we knew it was going to be tremendous pop culture force because of its unique mix of irreverence, lovable, relatable characters and fantastic story-telling," said John Ledford, CEO of Sentai Filmworks. Second Season, Knights of Sidonia) as the sun god, Apollo, along with Haruka Chisuga (Amagi Brilliant Park, SHIROBAKO) as prisoner, Sanjouno Haruhime and Akeno Watanabe (Witch Hunter Robin, To Love Ru) as the altruist Aisha Belka. Members of Apollo’s Familia include KENN (Space Brothers, Beyond the Boundary) as Hyakinthos Clio, Wakana Kowaka as Daphne Lauros and Ayumi Mano (Black Clover, Date a Live III) as Cassandra Ilion.

Young Mana Shikimiya once had big dreams, but she set those dreams aside once she reached middle school in order to live a normal life. When Mana joins the Singing and Dancing Club of Homareboshi Academy to help save the group from being shut down, her dreams of stardom are rekindled. She'll give it her all to win the Prism Stage competition and be named the top idol. With her friends beside her, there are no dreams too big!

Re:Stage! Dream Days♪ is part of the multimedia Re:Stage! project from Pony Canyon. The series is the animated follow-up to the project's popular mobile game, novel and music singles. Shin Katagai (Eyeshield 21) will serve as the anime's director while Kohta Yamamoto (Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga) provides the series' music.
