Shout! Factory and ELEVEN ARTS Sign Distribution Agreement

Multi-year deal will bring selected anime features across multiple platforms to fans in North America.

LOS ANGELES -- Shout! Factory, a leading multi-platform media company, and ELEVEN ARTS Anime Studio, have signed an entertainment distribution agreement for a number of new acclaimed animated features. The multi-year agreement provides Shout! Factory with home entertainment rights in North America for several new releases from ELEVEN ARTS' slate of anime films. The announcement was made today by Shout! Factory’s founders and chief executive officers Bob Emmer and Garson Foos and Ko Mori, CEO of ELEVEN ARTS Anime Studio.

"We're thrilled about this new agreement with Ko and ELEVEN ARTS. This is the start of a mutually beneficial relationship. We look forward to presenting their anime title to fans and collectors across many entertainment platforms," Emmer and Foos stated.

"We are so excited to be working with our friends at Shout! Factory," Mori said. "They are an awesome group of anime fans, dedicated to bringing the best anime to North America. While we are still dedicated to the theatrical experience of anime, we understand that our fans want to watch our titles again and again. This partnership will help make that a reality."

[Gundam Build Divers English Dub]

We're excited to announce English dub production of Gundam Build Divers with Bang-Zoom! Studios in SUNRISE panel during NYCC 2018.

Sunrise announced at its New York Comic Con Anime Fest panel on Thursday that it is collaborating with Bang Zoom! Entertainment to provide Gundam Build Divers with an English dub.

In addition, Sunrise announced plans to host the U.S. premiere of the first 20 minutes of the Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative (Kidō Senshi Gundam NT) anime at Anime NYC, which will be held this November 16-18. The staff also noted that it is aiming to hold the U.S. premiere of the full anime as close as possible to the Japanese theatrical release on November 30.

Funimation Films will be distributing ANEMONE/EUREKA HI-EVOLUTION, the second film in the Hi-Evolution Series, in theaters in 2019!

HOUSTON, TX October 23, 2018 - Sentai Filmworks announced today that it acquired Tsurune, the latest series crafted by the acclaimed studio, Kyoto Animation (Free!, Violet Evergarden, Beyond the Boundary), for distribution in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South America, and other select territories.

Based on the award-winning light novel series by Kotoko Ayano, Tsurune follows Minato Narumiya as he explores his relationship with archery and, in turn, how he sees himself. Having loved the sport as a child, Minato joined his middle school’s archery club only to suffer a terrible loss during his last tournament. He then gives it up and despite persistence from his childhood friends, refuses to try again. Now in high school, Minato encounters a mysterious stranger who inspires him once more and joins the Kazemai High School Archery club in hopes of winning the prefectural tournament!

Having worked on Violet Evergarden and Sound! Euphonium, Takuya Yamamura make his debut as the series director. Michiko Yokote (Love Stage!!, Cowboy Bebop) is in charge of the series script with Miku Kadowaki (Amagi Brilliant Park, Beyond the Boundary) leading character design.

Sentai Filmworks Catches "Run with the Wind" Anime Series

HOUSTON, TX, October 30, 2018 - Sentai Filmworks announced today that it acquired the distribution rights to Run with the Wind for audiences in the USA, Canada, the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia and other select territories. Run with the Wind is based on the light novel, Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru (or Feel the Wind in English) by award-winning author Shion Miura.

Kakeru is a former elite runner in high school who finds himself down on his luck. After being chased for stealing food, he’s saved by Haiji, a Kansei University student and a fellow runner. Having nowhere else to go, Kakeru is convinced by Haiji to move into a dormitory with eight other strangers. Before Kakeru is even settled in his new home, Haiji announces his ambitious plans to enter all ten of them into one of the most prominent university relay marathons in Japan, the Hakone Ekiden. There’s just one small problem: with the exception of Haiji and Kakeru, none of the residents have ever run competitively before.

Kazuya Nomura (Ghost In The Shell: The New Movie, Black Fox) directs the series. Takahiro Chiba (Kamichu!, Occult Academy) is in charge of character design with Yuki Hayashi (Haikyu!!, My Hero Academia) over music.

HOUSTON, TX November 14, 2018 – Sentai Filmworks announced today that it acquired distribution rights to the 2018 Fall simulcast series, Between the Sky and Sea for the USA, the UK, Canada and other select territories.

In the future, Earth’s oceans are nearly devoid of life when the fish disappear. However, people still need to eat. There can be only one solution: Humanity must reach for the stars, discover new aquatic lifeforms and catch alien fish for consumption! With the desire to help those they care about, Haru and her friends train to become space fisherwomen to bring back the catch of a lifetime.

Between the Sky and Sea features Atsushi Nigorikawa (Naruto Shippuden and Anime De Training! Ex) as the director and Shuuhei Yamamoto (Battle Girl High School and Anime De Training! Ex) as the character designer. Animation production will be handled by TMS Entertainment (Megalobox, Bakuon!! and Lupin the 3rd).

Sentai Filmworks Expands DanMachi Universe With "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion" Feature Film and Prepares Early 2019 Theatrical Rollout

HOUSTON, TX, November 16, 2018 - Sentai Filmworks announced today that it acquired exclusive distribution rights to Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion, the feature-length film, based on the hugely popular franchise known to insiders as DanMachi. The original television series, first released outside Japan by Sentai Filmworks in 2015 was a breakout hit and enduring fan favorite.

Adventurers may come from far and wide to test their mettle within the dungeon beneath Orario, but that's not the only location to experience! The gang may be familiar with the dark depths, but in this new story by the series' original writer, Fujino Omori, Bell's latest quest takes him beyond the dungeon. Fans can follow Hestia, Bell, Liliruca and the rest alongside the goddess Artemis as the Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? saga continues in a brand-new adventure!

Produced by EGG FIRM + SB Creative and directed by Katsushi Sakurabi (Flying Witch and The Pet Girl of Sakurasou) the feature also enlists Yasuhiro Oumura (Azumanga Daioh and When They Cry) as art director.
