Ash and Pikachu Return to the Big Screen
The latest Pokémon film, Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us, arrives in theaters for a limited engagement courtesy of Fathom Events.
Pokémon fans will have a good reason to head out to the theater later this year when the newest Pokémon animated film comes to the big screen this holiday season. Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us will have a limited theatrical release through Fathom Events on November 24, 26, and 28, as well as December 1.
Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us tells the story of Ash and Pikachu as they journey to a small seaside town filled with a diverse set of characters, including a young athlete, a compulsive liar, a shy researcher, a bitter old woman, and a little girl with a big secret.
Every year, the townspeople gather to celebrate the Legendary Pokémon Lugia, who brings the wind that saved the town from destruction many years ago. The festival is a time for celebration, with a Pokémon Catching Race and a ceremonial flame burning brightly to summon Lugia. But when a series of incidents threatens not just the festival, but all the people and Pokémon who call the town home, it's going to take more than just Ash and Pikachu to save the day. Will these people be able to put aside their differences and work together to rescue their town? Or will it all end in destruction?

GKIDS Acquires North American Rights to Satoshi Kon's PERFECT BLUE
GKIDS, the acclaimed producer and distributor of animation for adult and family audiences, announced that it is has acquired the North American distribution rights to PERFECT BLUE (パーフェクトブルー, Paafekuto Buruu, 1997), the legendary first film from the late auteur director Satoshi Kon. GKIDS and Fathom Events will continue their extended partnership and bring the feature to U.S. cinemas only in a brand-new digital transfer for a special two-night event pm September 6 and 10. In addition to the full feature, attendees will view exclusive bonus content to be announced closer to the event date.
PERFECT BLUE, celebrating its 20th anniversary, is the debut feature from the legendary director Satoshi Kon (PAPRIKA) that continues to have a profound impact on animators and Hollywood directors. The groundbreaking film has been praised as being ahead of its time with themes still incredibly relevant today. PERFECT BLUE has been hailed as one of the best animated features of all time, and Kon went on write and direct a number of acclaimed projects including PAPRIKA (パプリカ, Papurika, 2006), MILLENNIUM ACTRESS (千年女優, Sennen Joyuu, 2001), and the television series PARANOIA AGENT (妄想代理人, Moosoo Dairinin, 2004).
Tickets to PERFECT BLUE are now on sale at fathomevents.com or PerfectBlueMovie.com and at participating box offices.

Sorry, yes, the Streamline Pictures dubs of the two Miyazaki episodes WILL be present and accounted for in Lupin Part II Collection 4.
Lupin the Third, part 2 update: collection 3 will be out in December. Collection 4 on the way. They've been asked to dub the rest, but they can't. It's simply too much.
Lupin Part IV Update: The English-only version (based on the Italian cut) is available on Blu-Ray and DVD now! The Japanese-only version does not have a release date yet, but we know a lot of you want it and we're planning on releasing it by winter 2019. Extras TBD!
Lupin: Gold Babylon Update: We took a few extra months on release in order to dub it, using @RichardEpcar's cast! Also includes detailed liner notes by Lupin the 3rd expert Reed Nelson and an art gallery!

Discotek is releasing Giant Robo on Blu-ray, all 7 OVA episodes. Both English dubs. Ginrei special will be included in SD. Toole is hoping to include a lot of extras, hopefully production artwork. Stay tuned.

We're going back to the skies in the newest One Piece TV Special, Episode of Skypiea! Luffy and crew take on the lightning god, Enel, and his hordes in this reanimated retelling of the Skypiea arc.
Funimation will be simulcasting this weekend's anime special this Sunday, after its premiere on Japanese broadcast. One Piece's regular simulcast episode, Episode 851, will be available at its normal time (9:00p CT).
As with all new One Piece episodes, you'll be able to watch on Funimation.com.
