Just saw Black Lagoon Volume #1 (from Netflix) and I thought it's great series. I understand that Black Lagoon is under Geneon release, so are we stuck with season 1?

The short term answer is yes. But it should be a matter of time before the 2nd season gets rescued by another studio.
The long term answer is no. According to a representative from The Ocean Group, all of the dubbing work for Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage will be completed (same actors, same everything). Law of Ueki and The Story of Saiunkoku (39 eps.) will get the same treatment as well. Until these series gets picked up by another studio, everything will remain as they are.

Anyone give me some help buying the series "Gatchaman". I know nothing about this and Amazon shows 20+ different items. I would prefer buying one box set if it is available.

Thanks for that site, WTK.
Every title shows (HYB) next to it. Any idea what that means?
And I also found this on Ebay, but now that I see that rightstuf site, this seems to be too cheap.

Done. It just seems cheap for all those volumes. Worried about torrents/bootlegs. Thanks.

I still don't understand why everything (Anime) takes too long to release in America.

Maybe they are spacing out the release schedule because they feel that people aren't buying because they anticipate an eventual box set when all are out? *shrug*

If you haven't seen 'em yet, how about Trigun, Outlaw Star. CB and those two all came out in '98 and while the have bounty hunter/gunslinger type theme and are different in thier own ways. And try Heat Guy J, ROD OAV and Gungrave.
Anime Planet has a recommendations too. You can search for titles you like and and it recomends shows. This is what it came up with, though a lot of these don't fit in the same type of show you're looking for. Like DNAngel for instance. o.o

Anime Releases Tumble
December 17, 2007
According to the ICv2 Guide #50: Anime/Manga the number of anime releases are decreasing compared to 2006, while the number of new manga new volumes continue to rise. Both markets will be facing challenges in 2008 with anime affected by wide-spread illegal downloads and consumers who are content to wait for more economical thinpak collections, and manga publishers will continue to compete for finite shelf space for new and backlist volumes.
In the new Guide, ICv2 includes a survey of manga publishers that shows a likely 18% increase in the number of manga volumes published in 2008 vs. 2007, after a 35% increase in 2007 over 2006. On the anime side, ICv2 found that the number of anime releases continues to decrease, with a decline of roughly 20% in 2007 not including the effects of Geneon's collapse in October.
The ICv2 Guide #50 has overviews and top release information for March and April manga, anime and Asian live action releases in North America, and reviews of contemporary manga and anime series by librarians and members of the ICv2 staff. The Guide also contains ICv2's Top 25 Anime Properties list as well as its authoritative Top 50 Manga Properties list, based on sales across multiple channels.

Quick question regarding the Death Note Live Action Movie Boxset. I know it's Region 3, my question is if there's any way to be sure my PC/DVD player will play it. As awesome as it looks, I'd hate to pick it up and not be able to watch it.
