I wants it, but I'm passing. Can't afford to spend money upgrading too many DVD's I already own...

SOLD. Looks like this is $5 cheaper than what it will be at the DDD sale. I am hoping for a similar sale on the Star Trek and X-Men sets during the upcoming days.

For those of us interested in just the films, and not really the special features Warner brothers is releasing a $20 MSRP 4-pack...

Not on Blu-ray Disc though...standard DVD only, AND chances are they might just be using the old, vastly inferior single layer transfers from the original snapper case releases from way back in the stone age of DVD (1997)....the back cover scan at DVD Active does not show any DTS audio tracks, which all of the movies had on their two-disc SE releases...

Based off both the technical specs on the back packaging, the four film favorites look like to be the original 1997 snapper releases of the films. The specs have been wrong in the past (the Lethal Weapon series); but they're exactly the same as the specs as the original release in this case.
Is the set worth it for $60? Like most, money is tight at the moment and I really only enjoy the first three movies (I'll most likely never put in the Batman & Robin disc).

Seeing as I already have the first three 2 disc SEs on standard, I really don't see the need to buy this, no matter how tempting. Instead I went on amazon and purchased Batman & Robin (the two-disc SE) from a vendor for the low price of $4.88 (new and sealed!) just to complete the collection.

My least favorite of the set is actually Batman Returns. Danny Devito just annoyed the hell out of me in this one.

Was going to just buy Batman blu-ray from DP when the sale started. But last night picked up this Blu-ray box set for $45.98 including shipping from a seller on
Amazon.com Marketplace. The seller said it was open viewed once so I decided to purchase it.

Each individual disc/film is in a Blu thinpack....same as those used in the Star Trek Motion Picture Collection or the Austin Powers set....some people don't like them, but they get the thumbs up from me as they save valuable shelf space but still provide you with all the necessary cover art and back specs (just a thinner spine)....

Would definetely buy it if I didn't buy the UK version 3 weeks ago (cheaper, but would rather pay a little more for the thinpacks).

Uh... you guys do know you could just order the UK version of the set for 28 quid shipped (to the US after VAT) from Amazon.co.uk and save about $10US.
It's region-free (the same discs IIRC)... only thing missing is the digital copy with Batman 1, if you care about that kind of thing.
They also have the single BD discs (gasp, imagine that!) for 10 quid if you decide you don't want those 2 horrible Schumacher films
