I have compiled a list of the varying difficulties for each song on each instrument, as well as youtube links to all songs on Expert guitar and Expert drums when available.
This information is gathered from the tracks that I own, with the gaps being filled in from other various sources. If anyone has any of the missing information, PM me and I'll get it thrown in here.

Okay...first question for the new thread. I know this may have been discussed in the previous thread but I didn't feel like wasting a ton of time going thru all the pages of it.
So...with RB2...a question of difficulty. With the old game, you had a world tour for 2 or more people and then the solo tours with the various difficulties. Now you have one world tour where you can have as many bands as you want, and play whatever difficulty. You can go thru it how you want to.
Now my question is...what difficulty is best to do for someone like me? I can play on Expert but I tend to just get 3 or 4 stars and will likely fail out of several songs losing fans each time. If I play Hard, I will likely get 4 or 5 stars and likely never fail out on a song. Is one better than the other?
Am I getting anything for playing (and sometimes suffering ) thru Expert difficulty instead of Hard? What happens if you mix up the difficulties in your tour?
Thanks!

How far did you get with the expert instruments in RB1? If you got to the last tier on guitar or the second to last tier on drums, I think you can get thru 75% of RB2 playing on expert.
I've had the Endless Set List 2 open to me for a while, but I am no way ready to try it yet. And I do hate playing on medium or hard.

I mentioned it in the last thread, but may be worth repeating: I can beat most songs on Expert guitar, but when playing a tough song or I'm just feeling lazy, I'll play on Hard - but with Breakneck Speed on. The scroll speed ends up being about the same as Expert this way, but of course with fewer notes.
Otherwise when I went back and forth between Hard and Expert, the speeds would get me out of whack.
The worst part of this is backing allllll the way out to the menu and back in to change it. Definitely something that I'd like to see fixed or added in an update.

Um, the press release is tomorrow, but NYT has the story now. AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack is on it's way to Wal-Mart and Sams in Nov as expected. But $40? I sure hope that the screen shot showing this as exportable that popped up a while back is accurate, because it doesn't make sense as a standalone.

It's a very sexual song no matter how you slice it, so I can't imagine anyone familiar with censorship in previous DLC tracks will be too surprised by the cuts made in SPS.

Wal-Mart already has the link up for AC/DC:RB
http://soundcheck.walmart.com/acdc/#/game
It says all 18 tracks, and they will also be playable in RB1 and 2. Looking forward to tomorrow's official announcement and answers.

I'm pretty stoked about the AC/DC stuff, but I really wish it wasn't going to be live versions. I'm sure they'll all sound fine (I have the Donington DVD/Blu-ray), but I would oh so much prefer the original recordings, especially on the Bon Scott tracks.

I think tomorrow may be the last day to enter, though.

So more than likely the songs will be exportable for Rock Band 2...that's good news. But $40 for only 18 songs is a bit ridiculous, and out of touch with virtually all previous pricing structures for the game.

Hopefully they release the songs as DLC as well with the normal discount of buying multiple tracks.

I agree. But the thought of potentially getting another 1000 gamerscore in a game I actually like is pretty damned tempting! Although I don't really care for AC/DC, so I'm torn.

*edit - N/M, I see it on the actual site. Now I just have to find a way to get it cheaper.

That just seems silly...an 18 song standalone disc? So what will be "exclusive" to the disc - the venue and the characters? Those I personally have no interest in (no interest in paying extra, anyways ), so about $35 is the most I'd be willing to pay, and then only if everything sounds good live. It'd be a no brainer for me at $30.
Plus one of those 18 tracks is Let There Be Rock...

Or if we sell it at Gamestop (which I have not seen his in our system), check it out and rip it top the HDD

Epic pass. Stand-alone DLC, I might have gone piecemeal and got a few of the more popular tracks but to pay $40 for these glorified DLC in bulk and then to have a useless disc is beyond nonsense to me.
Hypothetically speaking, what's the idea for day-of trade-in value on this release should the export code turn out to be free in the case?
Also, I see Let There Be Rock is making a return visit. I suppose this is a live version and therefore not really a dupe.
God, I hate AC/DC so much, but I love Rock Band! I certainly don't want to see this as a trend...
