Breaking Bad, 1/27: "Cat's In The Bag"
What, no thread for this yet? I hope I'm not the only person here watching this. I thought the pilot was pretty good, but this show earned a coveted "auto record" spot on the DVR after last night's episode. Between the rather morbid comedy of Walter sliding the various supplies over to the guy in the basement and the... well, the sheer nastiness of the last ten minutes, I do believe I'm hooked.

Yes, this episode was even better than the pilot. I love how nothing has been resolved from the first episode -- in fact, just about everything is worse!
I want to know what website it is where you put in somebody's phone number and it spits out their "MyShout" page.
I finally realized where I recognize the actor playing Jesse from -- he played the oldest daughter's boyfriend on Big Love (completely different character).

I too like this show. I hope it stays around for a while. I think the older guy might have to start thinking about getting a new partner if the young guy doesn't start wising up soon. The bath tub scene and the dialog after were classics.

Great episode. I was laughing so hard at certain moments especially when he was rolling that guy the essentials from off camera. I was trying to guess what was coming next each time.

could that acid really eat through a bath tub, floor etc?
I like this show - but the filming was still "hazy" ... however in the recap at the beginning of the episode the picture was crystal clear.

Because of its high reactivity toward glass, hydrofluoric acid is typically stored in polyethylene or Teflon containers. It is also unique in its ability to dissolve many metal and semimetal oxides.

You want a character that is a high-school dropout that endlessly smokes weed and meth to 'smarten up'?!?!?

I checked out AMC's site and they have a full list of cable providers that offer Breaking Bad in HD.

God, this show is fantastic. I think it would be good even if Bryan Cranston wasn't in it, but having him lead is the icing on the cake.

BTW, looks like's last week's premiere pulled in pretty good numbers for AMC. 1.1 million viewers for it. Against playoff football, too. Once football ended, the numbers went up for the show. Mad Men premiered at 1.3 million, so it looks like this is a good hit for AMC. Hopefully it'll stick around for a few years.

This show has been great so far. I love the awkward breakfast scenes.

I may just start downloading the HD version from a torrent site so I can watch it on my tv.

Caught the pilot and this episode on Sunday night, it's definitely over the top, but I couldn't look away. Set the dvr to record the season, it will be interesting to see how they take care of the "problems" and how long he can keep it from his family.
He never told them about the cancer right?
