he's made 2 good movies so far so i'll trust him on this one even though i think it looks a little too much like 28 weeks later/escape from new york/mad max.

Wow! This looks both terrible and awesome at the same time! I don't know if I'll make a trip to the theater for it, but I definitely want to see this. I am having a little trouble forgiving Rhona Mitra for Skinwalkers though...

That said, the movie looks extremely derivative (in a bad way)....and could end up being ass.
I'm hoping not....

What ever happened to Marshall's Outpost that he was working on a few years ago? He was even doing monthly updates on production in one of the UK film rags (Empire, perhaps?) and then it just... disappeared.

Nevertheless, if stuff like The Descent is what he does on the side while he gets stuff like Outpost off the ground - who's to complain!

At the very least, I hope this is a guilty pleasure or hopefully a nice supplement to the R-rated pandemonium of Rambo. And yeah, 28 Days Later-Road Warrior-Escape from New York cross all the way...maybe a bit of Aliens thrown in for the badass chick aspect.
And about Rhona Mitra:
SHE'S GOT A GREAT ASS!

First part of the trailer definately caught my attention, but I have a lot of worries about the second one. Didn't we have enough of these post-apocalyptic movies a la Mad Max? If it's like 28 Days Later - I'm in, if it's more like Mad Max... But certainly I'm gonna watch it anyway.

I think this deserves a bump, I have been seeing the tv spots for the past few weeks now and think I will have to check it out. I loved The Descent, even though this reminds me of Mad Max, it looks really good.
