Yeah, the promo is in there.

Undoubtedly a double-dip for me. Terrific news ... and a very sharp looking cover.

Disney will only release this on Bluray. HD-DVD will be dead by then.

HD-DVD will be dead by 3/6/2007? You should let the folks in HD Talk know this. I'm sure Toshiba and Microsoft would also be very interested in your analysis of the market.

I just saw a story on CNN about Barrie's Peter Pan going into the public domain next year (and the adverse effect that may have on a children's hospital which has been supported for years by its royalties.) I'm wondering if that is why Disney moved this title up on their Platinum release schedule...

Not likely, this is a cross-promotion with some CG Tinkerbell movie they're doing.

I sense a Blurryray fanboy here, but that is okay. We'll forgive your misgivings.

Regardless, I welcome this as a Platinum release....

I know they do this for every PE, but I don't see it being discussed, so...

I was at the Disney Store yesterday and I preordered Peter Pan for $19.99 and got four (really nice) lithographs. I didn't see it on their website yet, but if you don't want to pay shipping, stop in your local Disney Store...

no ill will meant, just seems that it should all go in the main thread as opposed to starting a new one just for the lithographs.

Even if this was released on HD or BR, would it really make a difference as the film is quite old

Well, some of the best HD-DVDs out there are of older films...I've watched Casablanca twice already since getting it and it looks outstanding in HD.

Since I don't have the previous versions, this is a must buy for me.
