The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Game of the Century
Only a few more weeks from this game finally being out.

New trailer just released, and one that just makes the wait even more unbearable. In my opinion, there's nothing like a new Zelda game.

they ruined that entire line of games for me when the went 3d, as I hated the ones for N64, and didn't really like the previous one for the cube.
I was hoping this title would excite me a bit, but I'm really expecting anything

Zelda made possibly the best transition to 3D out of any of the old school games.

KS, just curious what about the jump to 3d turned you off? I understand that it was a huge change, but OOT is widely considered to be the best Zelda, in not the best game of all time.
Were you a fan of Mario before and/or after Super Mario 64? Also, a huge change but done exceptionally well. I only ask because I inferred from the FPS thread that you dig the 3d Metroids.

it was the overall feel of the game that really turned me off. The enemies were all straight forward, and the boss fights really didn't excite me. There was too much trading items for things you don't need, just to extend the length of the game.
The music was very good, I will admit.
Metroid Prime gave me a simliar feel to its old 2d couterparts (considering Im a huge fan of the 2d metroids). It didn't suffer from the Tomb Raider syndrome, where you have to try a jump about 10 times before you FINALLY acomplish it. The primes were very easy, but the environments were very engrossing IMO

Now, game of the year, that one would be fine to call as the year is 11/12ths of the way over.
