Widesceen DVDs from McDonald's Redbox?

Does anyone know if Redbox primarily dispenses widescreen DVDs?

I rented Scary Movie 4 (don't ask...) from one and it was fullscreen, but every other movie I've gotten has been in widescreen.

Redbox tends to carry mostly widescreen. They do not, however, carry the unrated versions.

For some ridiculous reason, companies love to release the theatrical version version of certain titles, say, "Stay Alive" or "Scary Movie" in full frame, and release the unrated/director's cut version of the same title in widescreen.

You probably never see an unrated version at Redbox.

I used to love redbox; especially with all the free codes. but since I moved out of the Maryland area, I cant use them anymore. They were much cheaper and more convenient than blockbuster.

old thread, but I figure good to bump.

Do Redbox dispense the 2-disc editions of movies or not? I wanna see Knocked up but don't want to blind buy it, would they have the bonus disc as well, or just the movie?

I would imagine they'd just have the movie. Their typical customer probably doesn't care enough about bonus features to make it worthwhile enough for them to stock them.

It will be the single disc version, and the rated version, especially since there's one available. Even on two disc only releases I suspect they would include only the first disc. I'm not sure how they would even go about dispensing two discs, short of giving you two cases.

I only ever received 1 disc when renting even though the release was a 2 disc. It's basically the movie and whatever extras are on that first disc. But what can you expect for a $1 or free rental?
