Clooney suicidal?
Headline grabbing sensationalism perhaps?

'Syriana' does look interesting, albeit a bit derivitive.
That's a pretty stellar cast though.

(Yeah I know this film preview has been linked here before, but the thrust of the post is the first article. Please forgive....)

Its probably the worst year personally I have ever had. My brother-in-law died of a heart attack aged 45, my grandma fell, broke her hip and died this summer. And my dog got attacked by a rattlesnake and killed, he said.

There's a huge difference between being depressed and having a bad year and being suicidal. (Trust me, I've been depressed since Bush got elected) I think the reporter blew Clooney's statements out of proportion. In fact, Clooney seems like one of the few celebs who doesn't take his fame too seriously and has his head screwed on straight.

Yeah, its a bit of a strech to say he was really thinking of killing himself when all he said was
He's talking in the second person, not personally.
Before the surgery it was the most unbearable pain Ive ever been through, literally where youd go, well, youll have to kill yourself at some point, you cant live like this.

Make that into a country song & he's got a #1 hit.

Ha, I thought that "depressed since Bush got elected" was a Clooney comment. Wow.
I can't believe he would forego painkillers because pill addiction is in his family. I wouldn't care at about that all. Give me pills, if I get addicted I'll go to rehab, whatever to stop the pain.
But all in all, this is Clooney just asking for an Oscar.
At least he's not depressed since Bush got elected.

I did read the article. He's baiting. He's letting the world know how shitty his life has been for publicity. If he had said something like "It's been rough" and left it at that, I'd have no problem. He went into detail about all his problems, looking for the sympathy vote. That's just my opinion.

I don't even know why I am still arguing with you about this; it is such a stupid comment to begin with.

The Studio could always offer refunds if people did not like the movie. I hear that worked well this year for a certain boxing movie.

Ever think that just maybe the guy doesn't have a problem expressing how he feels ,and is just open about it. Clooney's always been a straight shooter, not afraid to just say whatever is on his mind. I know we live in a cynical age but gheez damned if you do, damned if you don't...I think he's refreshing compared to your average hollywood type.
