Which one is it, the OOP version or the one available right now?

I've actually had that question myself for a long time. Supposedly, the OOP version has something more in the computer-generated graphics on the statues in the end. But I don't know anything more than that, and I can't find out how you can tell if you have the version you think.

The one I have is Special Edition. I'll assume that is the one that is available right now because I don't think I'll be lucky enough to get a OOP.

So how is the "Special Edition" ?

I've enjoyed my copy (not OOP). Good transfer and some alright extras. Definitly worth it, if you enjoy the movie itself.

I thought the new version has some kind of disclaimer on the case stating that the sculpture artwork at the end of the movie was not related to similar work at the National Cathedral in Washington DC.

I have you warn you about the deleted scenes, all you are allowed to hear is Taylor Hackford's commentary, not the actor's voices.

The OOP version has something different about the images on the wall. Look at the DVD case in the back; if you see a warning in red saying that those images have nothing to do w/ones some artist did, then you have the OOP version.

Other than that, they're both the same.

That's right. I remember that. It was annoying.

Thank you guys for all your input.

My hubby wants this dvd so bad so I decide to keep it. We do enjoy this movie a lot. As long as it has a good transfer, I guess it is worth $14.88. I better warm him about the deleted scenes so he won't get his hope up.
