Oh my god, that first bit with the class was priceless.

"No, there are people that do that for you..."

Ep is almost done... this could be the best episode of the season.

This show just gets better and better. Great way for the doc to tell his own personal story somewhat anonimously. Loved how the lecture hall filled up as the class went on.

As always - great mix of comedy and drama. Finally a bit more back-story.

At first tonight I was a little put off by the change in format, I guess I have grown accustomed to the usual and repetitive format. Then, I started to get into the way this show was illustrating the three cases, it was fun and dramatic. Then, BAM, we get hit with the realization that Dr. House was relaying his own story. Wow, what a powerful and brilliant way to illuminate his past.

This show just keeps getting better and better.

Greatest episode yet. Glad we finally got a look at House and his history, and the way it was told was excellent. God i love this show

Also Sela Ward is great. Such an elegant beauty. Also it's kind of interesting to see her, Cameron, and Cutty in the same show. Dr. House certainly has a "type".

Let's give the DP props for lighting Sela Ward amazingly enough.

This was a very good episode, and dare I say, it had that "The Usual Suspect" feel to it (per Bryan Singer, now an exec producer of this show). I will be re-watching this episode when I get a chance later this week.

Best episode of any show I've seen this season!

Loved the humorous moments in that first segment, and that Baywatch thespian wasn't bad either.

Another vote for best ep. of the season. In a market saturated with doctor shows, it's nice to see one so unique and good. (Not a knock on Scrubs which I also love and want to marry)
Was the geeky doctor also the geeky kid from the Issac & Ishmael ep. of The West Wing?

I hope they announce the dvd set soon after next week. This is my favorite non-HBO show in years.

Brilliant episode, I love the writing, and loved how cutty and house bargained at the start.

It's such a strong strong show.

Man, that was a long hour, and I was even skipping commercials! It seemed like two shows once it switched over to his story. The scenes of the farmer with the weed in his mouth were cracking me up!

I think the writers are clever in more than one way. Seems to me like they figured out a basic formula for the show and stuck to it for the first couple of months to build an audience. People could've jumped in at any time and wouldn't really have missed anything. They mix things up by bringing in Chi McBride and since he's been gone they've started into more character development that everyone had been waiting for. Either that or they're just procrastinators

Sela Ward has had botox done, hasn't she? I didn't detect a single emotion cross her face in the entire episode.

I think it was the lighting they used on her, it was nutty lighting (reminded me of how Catherine Zeta-Jones got lit in Mask of Zorro).

Has anyone noticed that he doesn't walk with his cane the right way?? I mean, come on...surely someone involved with the show would have noticed or just some random person calling them up and telling them.

Finally saw this ep and I agree it was the best of the season. We get some much needed backstory, a change in formula, and dog/snake wrestling. What more can you ask for?

In what way? Someone else on the FOX message board one time brought this up as well.

He's using the cane as support for his damaged leg, meaning he'd use it on that side rather than using it on the other leg to keep weight off the bad one, as you with with a break of some kind.

Actually, the right way to walk with a cain is to make a triangle with the cane. If your right leg is the one that's weak and bothering you, you have the cane in your left hand. this way, when you step with your right foot, you put some weight on your cane with your left arm. If you have a cane around you try it.

One of my friends broke his leg this past year and had to use a cane for a while and they told him that this was the right way to walk with a cane.

since when does house do things the right way

I agree though I broke my leg and went from 2 crutches to just the left crutch, with the broken right leg.
