Rumored XBOX 360 game pics.

I know there is a thread already that has pics, but after reading and looking through the entire thread, it appears that the pics were all hardware based.

I do not know if these were posted anywhere already, if they were I apologize, if not, here they are.

Another Rumor: I heard that the title of this game may be called 2 Days to Vegas: Kinda sounds like a p0rn flick

I apologize again if these have been posted, or should have been merged with the other thread.

Certainly impressive if those are real.

I'd like to see some non-real world pics though. Something like a Halo or Jade Empire type game.

I'd love to see those quality of graphics in a nice, well designed fantasy setting. I just can't get into games in the real world.

But I can't wait to see some games with a nice art design and those nice of textures and models.

Yep. That is what I was thinking. There are no level meters, or anything like that.

Those are nice, but I want to see some games in motion to decide. If nothing else though the Xbox is getting closer than ever to photo realistic video if those are real screenshots.

They look nice but I doubt they're actual screenshots.

I remember the original Xbox launch, where they showed a mech-like robot with pretty lighting, and everyone drooled, and they showed stuff from the game "Malice", which was supposed to be an exclusive launch game, but came out like 3 years later, and on the PS2, and it sucked.

So you'll forgive me if I don't get too hard over still pictures from what may or may not be games that may or may not be any good, and may or may not one day (or 3 years from now!) be coming out on a system that is not yet announced, let alone available to be bought.

But, I do agree they look purdy!

Who says they can't/won't do both?

it would be nice, but i can't see them doing it and microsoft going foward with just the HL2 game. it will probably be a new release that has the new counter strike as well or the new counter strike will be for the new xbox and HL2 for the old one.

That is because they are simply labled "next generation game" which means they have developed an engine of what they "think" the next generation of console will beable to do, and then got some nice pre-rendered graphics from that. I fail to be impressed by prerendered graphics - they still don't look as clean as Toy Story, and how old is that movie?

I think this level of graphical detail is possible on the next generation of consoles. Heck, looking at those shots of the city and the pics of the people, well, Half Life 2 already looks like that. A lot of this has to do with highly detailed/large textures and bump-mapping to get the shadows on those textures.
Those cars with the light-sourcing, real-world reflections, and nothing else around them (the two yellow ones) look prerendered, but the others could possibly be in-game.

Theoretically, these next gen systems are suppose to be closed-systems so developers can optimize graphical output (Xbox 360 and an optional HD makes it less of a closed system). These should be at a high-def standard of 720P or 1080I resolution. Play Half Life 2 at 10x7 with all details all the way up and you'll get graphics like these.

I'm not inclined to post comparison shots of HL2, but if someone else would like to, go for it.

This game being the only project listed.
