I thought The Jacket would be doing better. America loves those psychological/thriller horror movies. Tomm Lee Jones never should've done Man of the House

yeah, I'm a bit surprised too. I saw a pre-screening of it and thought that it was pretty good. It was a bit like the Butterfly Effect, but you can't beat Keira Knightly naked

Also, I'm shocked that The Pacifier did more business than Be Cool.

Not surprising about The Jacket. I barely saw one ad for it and they only had it on 1300 screens.

Poor Be Cool... getting owned by The Pacifier.

When will Hollywood learn Adrien Brody is just too ugly to star in movies?

He's listed as Exec Producer. I wonder what kinda deal got him to do the part? It's not a bad movie.

The Jacket is a second-rate Donnie Darko. Hell, it's a second-rate Butterfly Effect. Despite that our girl Keira does show some boob here and there, I'm not shocked that it'll probably end up making less than $10 million during it's domestic run. Warner really blew the ball on this release, but they usually do that for most of their thrillers (despite if they're bad or not).

The Pacifier is the number one film in America this weekend as it reaches an extremely wide audience (mostly due to it's family-friendly PG rating). The bad word of mouth won't affect this movie as the people who do want to see this (children and their parents) will go and see it anyway. Anybody remember January's Are We There Yet?

Be Cool deserves to tank as it's easily one of the worst films of the year. I haven't seen The Pacifier, but if I heard correctly, Vin Diesel's moment where he is covered in feces would be more entertaining than watching the snoozefest known as Be Cool.

Hitch finally starts to take a drastic fall at the box office. Sad shame as it's better than eight of those other films listed in the top ten. The only film that's much better than it, Million Dollar Baby, is still not doing what I hoped it would after the best picture win.

I guess Diary of a Mad Black Woman is not the My Big Fat Greek Wedding of 2005....

Well, she isn't the sexiest tomboy beanpole on the planet for nothing.

What the point of going to a movie just because a girl has a topless scene? I could just download the screencaps at home instead of paying to see them.

I agree, but tell that to all the people who paid to see Swordfish because of Halle Berry's topless scene.

True. I never said I was going to see this in the theater, but it will certainly increase the chance of a rental.

I didn't even know Kiera got naked in the film until I saw it yesterday morning. One of the film's few saving graces.

Somehow, from the first mention of it, I knew this thread would end up all about Kiera Knightley's tee-taas.

Yea. And I'm a gentelman. I can't just yank it at the movies. Yeesh.

I actually enjoyed it, but then again I liked The Butterfly Effect too.

Plus, Kiera was a plus

Hey, I liked The Butterfly Effect, I just didn't happen to like this film that much. (My other friend who saw it last night said it reminded him more of 12 Monkeys than what I mentioned).

However, Kiera naked, huge plus.

Keira topless? In that case, this goes on my DVD rental list. No real interest to see it in theatres.
