Also, I'm shocked that The Pacifier did more business than Be Cool.

When will Hollywood learn Adrien Brody is just too ugly to star in movies?

The Jacket is a second-rate Donnie Darko. Hell, it's a second-rate Butterfly Effect. Despite that our girl Keira does show some boob here and there, I'm not shocked that it'll probably end up making less than $10 million during it's domestic run. Warner really blew the ball on this release, but they usually do that for most of their thrillers (despite if they're bad or not).
The Pacifier is the number one film in America this weekend as it reaches an extremely wide audience (mostly due to it's family-friendly PG rating). The bad word of mouth won't affect this movie as the people who do want to see this (children and their parents) will go and see it anyway. Anybody remember January's Are We There Yet?
Be Cool deserves to tank as it's easily one of the worst films of the year. I haven't seen The Pacifier, but if I heard correctly, Vin Diesel's moment where he is covered in feces would be more entertaining than watching the snoozefest known as Be Cool.
Hitch finally starts to take a drastic fall at the box office. Sad shame as it's better than eight of those other films listed in the top ten. The only film that's much better than it, Million Dollar Baby, is still not doing what I hoped it would after the best picture win.
I guess Diary of a Mad Black Woman is not the My Big Fat Greek Wedding of 2005....
