Where do you buy cds online?
I was looking for the Kinks three-disc reissue of "Village Green Preservation Society" and Amazon didn't carry any new copies.
So I searched deepdiscountcd and they didn't have it. Checked BestBuy.com and Circuit City and didn't see it listed. Same went for Borders-hoping for an in-store copy.
Then I couldn't think of any other large cd retailer in the US. Who am I forgetting?
All of the good local cd stores that would carry it have closed down.
Guess I'll probably just get it off eBay.
A few places I use for power pop/indie etc. are
www.notlame.com
www.parasol.com
www.cdbaby.com
Also-any fave places for overseas purchases?
I've been meaning to order from:
www.amazon.co.uk
www.towsend-records.co.uk

i definitely obtained my copy from a third party seller on amazon.com. that's usually the first place i check now if i can't find something on ebay. there really aren't many places that i've found to offer consistent service and great prices together in the same experience.

www.secondspin.com is a cool place. They've got B&M stores here on the West Coast and in 1 or 2 other states and their selection is diverse.

all good sites to buy from but I actually found new copies at Collector's Choice music.

They always have a lot of great stuff in their catalog.

I'd normally just go down to my local record stores, but for some reason, in the past couple years, they've been not getting the good stuff they used to get. I'm forced to go online.
These days, I go to:
the used section of Amazon.com
www.interpunk.com (great!)
or go directly to the record label's site.

For overseas orders, cd-wow is a good site. http://www.cd-wow.com Their selection isn't the best, but for new releases they're pretty good. Their prices are good and they also have free shipping worldwide.
