I ordered it from outpost.com a few weeks ago, so I think my wait will be awhile longer - but I'm looking forward to it

I got mine from Lucasarts.com - comes with a free T-shirt and free shipping. The down side is that I have to wait. The even BIGGER down side is that my TV died and it'll be next tuesday before the repair guy shows up.

Ah well - City of Heroes will keep me busy until then.

Argh! Too many games on the docket. Half-Life 2, CS: Source (a novelty for me, sadly), Tribes: Vengeance, Myst IV, and now this.

Loved the first one, but I've got some unplayed games I have to get through before I pick this up.

Mario and Luigi, Mario 64DS, Metroid Prime 2, and Ratchet and Clank 2, will have to be finished before I pick this up.

Hey OP, could you put a warning for "NO SPOILERS" just in case.

Some blabbermouths might start bragging how far along in the game they got

Fry's got this in today. I'll be stopping by immediately after work to pick it up.

Then it goes in my pants.

I decided to wait to get it and just ask my wife for a copy for Christmas. I have a ton of stuff to play and really need to finish some it before starting another long, engrossing game.

I got it on monday and have played a few hours so far. Starts out slow just like the first one. If you like the first one though, you will like this one.

I got it last night after work but I only played a half hour or so and nothing really exciting has happened yet. my only problem so far is it seems a little too much like the first and I am hoping they have some new force powers and weapons to make it interesting during the battles.

Initial impressions after 5 hours of play:

- It plays more like a 40-hour expansion pack to the first game, rather than a sequel
- Same basic story architecture as the first game: superduper important Jedi must choose the Light Side or the Dark Side while legions of Sith chase him. I hope we get something more inventive for the third game.
- Mining colonies suck.

But I have a feeling that once it picks up I'll like it like the first one.

I named my character Thon Sunrider. The first game's was Kane Starkiller. I'm such a dork.

Yeah, the reviews made that an expectation. Honestly, though, that's fine with me. Half-Life, Doom, Quake - I expect a leap forward in the technology, as that's one of the key features. KOTOR, on the other hand, succeeds because it's phenomenally fun and has an engaging story.

Yes. Yes, you are. In fact, when I pick up this game, I'll call my character Breakfast With Girls in homage to your dorkitude.

What kind of name is "Thon," anyway? Is that a typo?

ROCK!

Both this and the first game are heavily based on Dark Horse Comics' Tales of the Jedi series. There are all kinds of references in both games, from little things like the Qel-Droma Robes towards the end of the first game to races like the Cathar to story points like the tombs of the Sith you visit on Korriban to entire locations that you visit, like Onderon. Nomi Sunrider was a Jedi that lived just prior to the period the game takes place in, and her Jedi master was named Thon. Nomi had a daughter named Vima. In my dumb little character backstory, my guy is the son of Vima.

Can anyone tell me how many blocks the saves are for this game. The first one was about 1600. I was hoping to be able to put it on a memory card. Thanks.
