'Best of' Supergrass - US release: Sept 28th

from www.musictap.net:

Capitol Records will release a 'best-of' for Supergrass called Supergrass is 10: The Best of Supergrass. This release will street on September 28.

my fingers are crossed in hoping that the DVD Video Collection that was released in the UK will also see a Region 1 release as well.

It would also be fantastic if their tour promoter could schedule some Fall shows since their last Stateside tour got cancelled at the last minute.

Hmm...I might have to try to pick up the import, then. If the other bonus tracks are as good as their cover of Crosseyed and Painless, then I'm totally in! Thanks for the heads up!

Great band, but I think it's kind of silly how "greatest hits" CDs come out now for bands not even 10 years old and with 5 albums or less.

The labels should learn to support, market and promote the first time around...

Anyone heard of a DVD release, perferably a R1 or better yet a R0 NTSC?

The domestic US pressing also has a bonus "live" disc with

Disc: 2

1. Kiss Of Life
2. Pumping On Your Stereo
3. Grace
4. Time
5. Moving
6. Late In The Day (Acoustic)
7. Wait For The Sun (Acoustic)
8. Caught By The Fuzz (Acoustic)
9. Strange Ones
10. Hollow Little Reign
11. Mansize Rooster
12. Sun Hits The Sky

talk about having a senior moment, I had forgotten that the CD just came the other day and I was a tad confused why a large portion of the audience at the 9:30 show last night had no idea of the new song "Crosseyed and..." oops I mean "Kiss of Life".

Actually, the crowd at last night's gig were really sedate for a Supergrass gig, the band was tight, but the audience were tight-assed. Not to mention the drunk white trash hick standing right next to me, being loud, annoying and really quite tragic and embarrassing.

The show was amazing, I was surprised that literally every five minutes they were playing another song - talk about energy and stamina - at an hour and twenty minutes (and a brief acoustic interpretations of three songs), this show was simply fantastic.
