What are some really good HT speakers and sub, that doesnt take up too much living room real-estate?
What do you guys use?
The speakers dont have to be coke-can-size, but we're talking bookshelf size or so.. Sub can be a little bit larger
Any good tips?

Take a look at the Energy Take 5 w/ES 8 or ES 10 sub.
Also consider a PSB system made up of:
PSB Alpha front
PSB Alpha Mini or Mite rear
PSB Midi or Center center
PSB Subsonic 5 or SubZero sub

ravan,
what is your budget?
I had the same space issue but I wanted a quality setup. I went with NHT for satellites/center and Velodyne sub. It's not the cheapest by any means, but it is an incredible setup if you are space limited. The superone fronts are bookshelf size and the superzeros I got for rears are smaller. I got XU version which came with the built in mounting brackets.
