One must admit it's very "year one-ish".

Not ever having gotten into the world of comic books (and only being nine at the time), "Batman" was the first I knew of the Batman character. I guess I kind of came to identify that symbol with Batman. This new symbol is indeed interesting, and the only problem I can think of with the movie right now (not having seen it anything about it, obviously) is that there may be too much talent involved. With that said, next summer can't get here fast enough.

The Nazi Eagle is derived from the Roman Eagle, I believe, but from what I can tell, only the Nazi Eagle had the straight wings.

When I saw the logo I liked the gritty and unshowiness of it. I hop the movie succeeds in the same way. Gritty and not too showy (hopefully no batmobile driving up walls, nipples, hyperbolic performances, etc).
I'm a-gonna shaddup now.
