Fox Studio Classics: Desk Set coming 5/4

From DVDTimes:
Fox Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Desk Set on their Fox Studio Classics label for 4th May 2004 with a retail price of $14.98. Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracey star in this romantic comedy that will offer the following features on DVD...

• Anamorphic Widescreen
• English Stereo
• English, Spanish and French Mono
• English and Spanish subtitles
• Audio Commentary by Merrill and Neva Patterson
• Designers Inspired For New Creation By Film "Desk Set"
• Theatrical trailer
• Cross-promotional trailers
• Still gallery

I'm glad they reduced the SRP on these.
I just wish they'd done it before I bought the first 15.

Yes! Though it may not be the fashion, I think this is my favorite of the Tracy-Hepburn films.

Releasing this title also offers a bit more hope that some later Fox films might sneak into this series, especiallly
How to Steal a Million.

And Rob, I feel your pain about the re-pricing on the early entries in this series (though I don't think I ever paid
more than $12 each for any of the Fox Studio Classics I've bought...it still hurt my cheapskate heart seeing
the four-packs at Costco for $23.)

Looking forward to this - it's great fun, and you have to smile looking at the high-tech computer system. And to Fox for the new pricing!

I got the Best Picture collection 4-pack with Sunrise, How Green Was My Valley, etc.

What other 4-packs are there? I can't find info on them.

For ~$25 from Amazon.com, the Best Picture Collection was a heck of a deal for four great classic DVDs.

The info. below has been directly stolen from one of Blade's Costco threads in the "DVD Bargains" forum:

"Fox Studio Classics 4 disc sets (once) $35 NOW $24!! free Sunrise
Per Quake1028 there's been an $11 price drop on these sets. This is a great bargain, and I hear you can ebay Sunrise for a pretty good price (though that might drop with all these Costco sales glutting the market)...even still, $6 a title is a great deal for these movie classics, so whatever you get for selling Sunrise (or give it as a gift) is just gravy.

These are not in a box, but in one of those plastic forms.
Dah-Dee reported different configurations avail., so stock may vary

*Gentleman's Agreement/Song of Bernadette/An Affair to Remember/Sunrise
*All About Eve/How Green was My Valley/Love is a Many Splendored Thing/Sunrise
*Inn of the Sixth Happiness/Anastasia/My Darling Clementine/Sunrise
*Oxbow Incident/Mask of Zorro/Titanic/Sunrise"

The one I ordered from Amazon was:

Gentleman's Agreement / How Green Was My Valley / All About Eve / Sunrise

So that's another configuration.

It's too bad that Sunrise seems to come in every set, although the eBay/Half option is a good idea to get rid of extra ones (heck, the gift idea is a good idea at that price).

What a wonderful price drop!

Has anyone seen these other configurations available for order online anywhere?

I think that's supposed to be "Mark of Zorro".

Can I find a complete list of the Fox studio classics. They do a great job and I would like to get some more. I already have All About Eve, Affair to remmber and day the earth stood still.

Peyton Place comes out this Tuesday, 3/2, and The Grapes of Wrath on 4/6.
