I'm looking forward to this one. I like the look of the movie from the teaser. I'm guessing that was Vincent Cassel speaking english during the trailer. I always thought he'd have an accent when speaking in english, but I guess not.

A part of me was hoping this movie would be a comedy because Eddie Izzard was in it.

Don't suppose there's any kind of release date set for the US? Do they even have a distributor?

as far as I know there is no date for this release for the US. But the entire movie was shot in English so when the DVD comes out I will be picking it up for sure (same as Fanfan La Tulipe.....very much looking forward to this one).

As to Vincent's accent....well, he went to school in NY so his English is pretty good from what I gather (dont know what you would consider a strong accent).

Anyhow.....looking forward to this one!

Cool. Art of Moebius becomes one of France's leading filmmaker's inspiration...could be something really nice.

I enjoyed the Moebius comic and am a fan of Vincent Cassel, so I'm really looking forward to seeing this film (and the teaser looks cool!). Lord knows when this will get US distribution, so I guess I'll just have to get the R2 DVD when its available.

I thoroughly liked the comicbook series Blueberry when I was younger, and I hope they give it the treatment it deserves (IMO).

Still no US release date. Here's another trailer link for the heck of it. http://www.cinemovies.fr/fiche_multi...hp?IDfilm=2400

Definitely looking forward to this.

Thank you pro-bassoonist for presenting me with my first must-see movie of the year.

That said, where can I get the comic book?

Oh and is Fanfan La Tulipe getting an R1 release?

Next tuesday a friend is going to bring me some of the comics to hold me over while we figure out how the hell we're gonna get our handson the eventual R2 DVD release if this doesn't get a US theatrical release.

Wow, that looks really excellent. I love westerns, and I'm a Micheal Madsen fan. Really anticipating this now.

Epic published a run -- don't know if it was ever completed. I'm pretty sure that the Mobius collections being released by someone right now (fantagraphics?) have the complete run though.

Very mixed reviews apparently:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0276830/

http://www.bibloi.com/performingarts...blueberry.html

among others.

edit -- on the other hand, Bilal's new film is looking better and better (though less plotwise like the books IMO) -- http://www.immortel-lefilm.com/video...rtel_ba_hq.mov -- 35mb.

Everytime I see this thread, the title makes me think of Blueberryhead, the Mr. Show parody of Carrot Top.

Anything new on this? Looks like it had some releases outside the US, and I hope it hits the theatres here, but even DVD news would be nice. Looks cool, even if the reviews have been mixed, I definitely am still anticipating it.
