Edit: nevermind. The R2 DVD does indeed present the film uncut. The eBay DVDs are Chinese (bootlegs?). Damn, R2 even has A Heart in Winter.
(yes, I'm a big Emmanuelle Beart fan)

My top three are always Ice Pirates, Lili, Song of the South, followed closely by any and all slapstick/vaudeville comedy performers (Bert Wheeler & Robert Woolsey, Marx Brothers, etc.)

frustratingly, disc 1 from LBN was a floater and scratched to $#!%.
i steped thru every chapter and didn't see any problems, but i really should sit down with it soon to be sure.
i love the film, but it requires the right mind set, which i just haven't had lately.
Actually, New Yorker did announce this for release this past Sept, but is was delayed , and i believe it is now due in early '04 for R1.
THX1138 is due for a SE release next year in the UK and will almost surely get the same here
Ragtime is due end of June or July
Foul Play is one title that sticks out to me as should have been on disc by now, but there is still no sign of- even though Martin Blythe was here last year soliciting feedback on it and others-a few of which did make it to disc in '03 (Targets, Captain Kronos, This Property is Condemned are the ones that first come to mind).
The Ladd/Lake film noirs seem to me to be conspicuously unavailable, but being Universal titles, not really surprising.
personally, i would love to see more pre-code films released. maybe in collections as MGM used to do with LDs to make them more financially viable.
