Karate Kid - OOP?
I saw today that all the Karate Kid series was going OOP. Anyone know if a special edition or box set was in the works? I haven't picked these up yet and was wondering if I should wait or do it now.

I hope there is a re-release on the way, especially for the 1st one. I can't believe the sequels were released in Widescreen and not the 1st one. Here's hoping for a 20th anniversary SE!

Not "going", but actually already out-of-print. Copies may still be available in warehouses and store shelves, but Columbia is not shipping any more copies.

I own all three and they aren't bad at all. Karate Kid 2 & 3 are anamorphic widescreen, and it looks pretty good. Not reference material of course, but quite solid. The sound is DD 2.0 and is adequate. Karate Kid 1 is fullscreen, but still looks decent and the DD gets the job done. I'd go ahead and buy all three! I watch them all the time.
